Was wondering this... when you face a new quest/encounter cards; do you first study them to already prepare your deck and strategies, or you try a lucky "all in" without reading them and thus leaving the element of surprise for the first couple of games?

I just bought the game so I still can't tell myself how I will behave in the future :P

Truthfully, I try to play it at least once without reading, so that the curveballs a quest could throw at me actually require me to think to get past (if I can at all). After playing a quest once or twice, I do take a look at the quest cards to see what to expect (if I haven't seen them), and after another game or so, I'll examine the different encounter cards.

I do try to keep the surprise for a little, at least :)

I read them, but I dont adjust my deck specifically to beat the quest unless I feel hopless after playing it several times. Changing for each quest feels like cheating.
