On saturday, may 30, another Spring kit tournament was hosted in our FLGS: Goblin Bologna (Italy).
A total of 15 players showed up for the event, so we settled for a 4 swiss rounds + top8 tournament.

Every warpack was legal, except for Descendants of Isha, since italian version has not been released yet.
Metagame breakdown was very Eldar-centric (perhaps people wanted a last ride with their Eldoraths before letting it go to try some mobile-goodness with Baha?), with the smallest number of Space Marines ever!

There were:

5 Eldar (5 Eldorath)

4 Tau (3 Shadowsun, 1 Aun'shi)

2 Space Marine (1 Cato, 1 Ragnar)

2 Orks (2 Zogwort)

1 Dark Eldar (Kith)

1 Chaos (Zarathur)

After the four swiss rounds, the standings:

After the cut, top8 was:

Nicola Venturi beat Matteo Campagna

Marco Cenerini beat Lorenzo Zanarini

Valerio Govoni beat Alessandro Cremonini

Mirko Pedrini beat Francesco Santandrea

A pretty impressive top4, with 3 Eldoraths and 1 Aun'shi!

Semifinals:

Valerio Govoni beat Mirko Pedrini

Nicola Venturi beat Marco Cenerini

So, the final was an Eldorath only affair (and rightly so, with a wonderful extended art warlord for each finalist, and a gorgeous Eldorath playmat for the winner!). Valerio (left) vs Nicola (right):

Valerio had a great start, with a lot of cheap units to secure command from the beginning, while Nicola
mulliganed  bad hand in to a mediocre one... so the final was definitely one-sided!

Anyway, congrats to the winner (one of the strongest players in the area), to the finalist (relatively new to the game, but already a strong contender), and to all other top8ers! And thanks to every attendee and any other local player for making Bologna's meta so lively and fun!
