Balon vs The Red Keep + chump = opposed?
Posted 02 September 2015 - 12:16 AM
The Red Keep : The Red Keep contributes 2 STR to your side during any challenge in which you control a participating character.
Balon is declared as an attacker in a Power challenge against a Baratheon player with The Red Keep in play. Baratheon player chump blocks the Power challenge with a character with less STR than Balon, so that characters STR does not count. Since The Red Keep contributes is bonus STR to the Baratheon player's side and not any individual character, the challenge will be considered opposed right?

Yes I believe you're correct, an unopposed challenge is where there is 0 opposing strength, as the red keep doesn't contribute str to the character but to the challenge it still counts, and a character is still participating in the challenge if their strength is 0 they just don't really contribute...

The challenge would be opposed (this also applies to the various melee titles that grand +1 depending on the challenge type).
