With pure mono-faction builds I'd say Starblaze and Gorzod are weakest, probably in that order too (and not counting the Necrons.)

Aside from these two, the weakest warlord in the game is probably Baharroth in my opinion. While he is Eldar and as such he has access to a rather great cardpool, his signature squad (units, events, attachment and support) are relatively weak compared to his three Eldar warlord brethren.

They don't. :)

Turn 1

You put 1C (Card) and 1R (Resource) on the table. (The reduction support)

Then you deploy a card and reduce the cost by 1 Resource.

Result: you spent 1C and refunded 1R. So your balance is -1C.

Turn 2

You deploy a card and reduce the cost by 1.

Result: Your balance is -1C +1R = 0. (IF 1R = 1C, which isn't even true)

Turn 3

You deploy a card and reduce the cost by 1.

Result: Your balance is 0 +1R = +1R!! Profit!

At last, your play is giving you real profit. But in Conquest 3 turns is an infinite amount of time. 70% of the games are settled (if not finished) by the end of turn 3.

That's why Reduction supports aren't good. ^^

Not that easy.

In turn one, you have a chance to delay the normal deploy for one action, to know better what your opponent wants.

Thanks for your recomendations, although some of the warlords are from cycles we don´t have. Just for clarification why I ask this question. I play only on casual level with my eight years old son, that´s why I try to find some weaker warlord for me to balance the level of play. We do not need some combos or strong tournament level decks. And I think that monofaction helps him recognize which faction does what things. Commander Shadowsun (me) lost first three games against Ragnar Blackmane (son´s), that´s why I thought he could be a bit weaker, but it could be caused by bad draw or other things. Later I was able to unleash the revenge :) I think that with time we will find some ways how to make some decks weaker by adding suboptimal non-signature cards but for now when we are learning the game it´s hard to guess which cards are weaker than others.

Once again thanks for any help and patience, it´s really appreciated.

I´ve got one more newbie question - could you recommand some balancing change of rules for playing against less experienced player? I play against my small son and games are a bit one-sided. For me it´s hard to play intentionally "bad" and I try to find some other way for the game to be still "competitive" without intentionally weaken myself during the game by bad decisions. What about decreasing starting resources and cards in my hand (-2, -2) to make the recover from bad starts more difficult and help my son to build better starting board? Is it nonsense? Do you have any other idea?

Thanks a lot...

I also have to deal with that because I usually play against my younger sister. Although she is getting better I still try to build more complicated decks for me to use, that are either very combo reliant or just plain hard to play. That way I give myself some handicap without making her mad by giving her blatant advantages :D .

I like to use Torquemada Coteaz for that purpose since he requires a lot of precision play and attention to work properly.

I'd say start as usual but give yourself 1 less resource each round. That should provide enough of a balance on its own.

I´m afraid I don´t have insight deep enough to build such decks properly, still new to the game and it´s hard to predict how some deck will work. I tried to ask for weaker warlords earlier but sadly it seems that this game is well balanced :)

Kaloo - Nice idea, it´s really worth trying. Maybe -1/-1 at start and then use your change.

We tried a game with -2/-2 yesterday and it was good - I had really bad start due to this change, lost the first planets almost without fight and had to build around later planets since beginning to get some resources instead of my starting ones. -1 resource later helps weaken me when I build my position... thanks for advice
