i always have too many attachments in my asshai decks, Black amethysts, Fanatic, and the character recursion one not to mention lightbringer, motley and banner of the storm

Zero cost, deadly, AND the setup keyword... this is an auto-include in any Asshai deck.

But if you don't get to place it during setup it cost you one card.

So one have to weigh it as; Pay an additional card for an Asshai to give it Deadly. Which makes it less interesting, especially since, as it seems, Asshai decks already have many other good attachments to chose from.

I'm not saying that its bad. But I think it's a tough call whether to include it or not.

Still a nice, cheap card to help protect some key asshai (Mel, Thoros, etc) from those nasty cards like search and detain, bear island, etc. Good points that there are a lot of good attachments for asshai. I have been playing around with a few asshai builds - both joust and melee, and am having fun experimenting with the right mix.

Yeah I like this attachment but hard to justify it over Fanatic (RoR). I guess you could run both, but I really don't like running more than a few attachments.

I have a friend who tends to run these 3X, but mainly because his decks curve is a bit high. It's definitely made Melisandre (RotO) a lot more of a problem in games. If you're running a lot of Asshai already I still think it's a solid choice, but if you're running short on slots, I agree that Fanatic (RoR) wins.
