A targ lord of the crossing very toolbox whose goal is to adapt to opponent draw / deck.
Made 7-0 in rounds in tournament of the hand (european open with 127 players from all countries) than top 32, top 16, top 8, top 4 and finally lost in final against a mind blowing start from Lanni Lotc and a very slow start from me.
The same deck made to the finals of Toulouse store (23 players) losing to miror deck.

the goal here is to adapt and stabilize.
Targaryen have lot of gamebreaking cards and tutoring the right at the right time is often powerful.
Being a player having sometimes totally improbable showings, my goal was to stabilize a combo mechanic (burn).
Lord of the crossing was prefered to fealty as economy was not a problem at all (often illyrio or unsullied are not entering at all). The power gains are very important (letting you win one turn earlier in most games) but this is the difficult choices letting to opponents that the agenda allow that are important ! The third challenge is always won which is an huge advantage but if opponent go first, this is very difficult to him to not overcommit or not allow a free table latter. if opponent go second it is easy to let some annoying defenders even virtual ones with one dragon standing and one gold :D This agenda combining to the exact deck is very difficult to play against once mastered letting even experienced opponents do lot of bad choices or "blind" choices who can backfire at them.
Summons X2 was necessary as testings showed that both dany or the appropriate dragon was not showing in time in 1/5 or 1/6 of the games. The second summon was pivotal on a meta full of first snow too.
Building is key to tutor shadowblack lane (both for dracarys against most decks or F&B against aggro), plaza (against stark or knight), milk (against allstars decks like tyrell or lanni).
blood of the dragon was not included because i prefer to discard any attachement on table (confiscation + viserys) as some attachements could be unwelcomed (tyrell and lanni blades, lady, lanni knelt item, remove icons...etc) or marshed (punishing bad setup, letting me go for full aggro if drogo + plaza are here, high init if nothing else)
the deck had impressive testings stats losing less than 5 in more than fifty played in this exact form.
Stark, tyrell and GJ are very easy match ups once mastered. Lanni can be more difficult if the whole family is on table but this is stay a good match up. Nw can be tricky to play against. Martell might be a difficult match up if showed perfectly.
Trading can be calling the banners but trading is prefered as more versatile and playable any turn while calling is not always powerful due to the few opposing peeps. Trading drawback is not a problem as noble cause is played as soon as dany is in hand while trading is more a table swinger more often played on turn 4/5 while opponent have few cards in hand.
Illyrio was added the night before the tournament and all testing was made using 2 unsullied. Littlefinger is not far from the deck too.
32 characters were never a problem even against aggro decks.
Waking is important even in X1 because experienced opponents worry for more if seen in discard. Unaware opponents can still be surprised and lose game on that card. So keeping that card in x1 is still important for mindtricks. This further trigger viserys or mormont at the chosen time.
finally, a third hand judgement might be welcomed as lot of events are impactful (growing strong, the lanni bounce, winter is coming, opponents targ events, seen in flame, sword in darkness...etc). Yet 2 worked for me for dozens of games...
will greet happily questions or remarks !!! You are welcomed !

Congratulations, you deservedto winthis tournament! What willsettheWolves of the North inthis version?Doesit changethedeckin depth? Thank you for yourfeedback.
Running only negative attachments makes the Greyjoy match up quite unfavorable, how has your testing been vs Chair/Longship?
Nah, building orders for a milk for balon and you are laughing as you play more military icons than they have stealth to avoid the UO, chucking dragons or chuds to throwing axe isn't a big deal.
@Barnie25 : for months, BG was here only for this reason. Yet, I find that most of the times this was not necessary. This is a small risk, you are totally right ! In a perfect world, 1 or 2 of them (or one horse maybe) could be there. nightmares can be a good answer to that and lot of others stuffs.
Yet if GJ make a perfect start, he will have WDNS to destroy my BG so...duplicates and board superiority is doing enought for me for two tournaments now where no GJ manage to slow this deck.
I'm maybe at more than 80/20 against GJ averall (training + tournament losing 3 games only in more than 30).
@Aegon Targaryen : 04/16 and 04/17 on Paris. C4 legal but not deluxe.
@Gaishi : thanks french pal ! I will test again some dragon sight and blood of the dragon in this exact deck. Nightmares will be tested too. I have no idea what can be removed to play dragon sight so maybe the deck will change very few. Yet I will definitvely try a more aggro version with miri and more aggressive plotline in the next few week.
Yet I'm waiting to see the exact strength of targ sun in the new meta after deluxe so... lot of work to do
Anyway next time I'll do my best to attend TM 2017!

I guess that the LotC agenda has still a lot of proven value with deluxe set, amongst other exemples Fallen from Favor is quite perfect in combo with Veserys
Let's continue this conversation of the FR forum...
Well with stark deluxe and calm arriving, i will need to try hard three directions :
- targ sun a little aggro (with wildfire / 1st snow and miri) : still very competitive and with lot of answers on tiers 1 decks. Might be a good call in the current meta even if far less stable than LOTC. the trick is find the right decklist as minor changes can lead to very uinstable builds in this archetype.
- Lotc full aggro : long winter after wildfire but the main deck is near the same (+ 2 miri and tears might become put ; maybe 2 dany and 8 dragons only ?). But played more aggressively.
- Same LOTC including miri and nightmares (who seems to me to be the missing part of dominance for this deck). Maybe a version with 2 dragon sight and 1 blood of the dragon but i'm not to sure that this last one will work better than the deck presented here.
i will go to regional season with one of those but i need further testing to see every match up and aspects of the deck... But if i have no assurance, i will play near exactly the same deck than this one maybe trying to entering wilding who give stealth and reworking a little the event part...
Milk proved to be essential in my environnement. Especially against lannis all star decks where burn mechanics is not enought to stop them and tears is useless.
Burning cersei / jaime or tyrion (absolute priority) than milking tywin twice by game is key to easy victory. Milking the mountain too can save games badly started.
In the same mindset, milk is essential against stark allstar (catelyn, bran, eddard in LOTC is painful) or some tyrell builds very difficult to stop without milk. GJ rush match up tend to be 80/20 or 90/10 even without BG thank to milk.
For regional season, i have tried last week end some builds without milk, this is not possible to pass on them In my meta at least !
if milk were not here this would open the slots for more tears, more targ events (were they dragon sight or waking) or even nightmares and this would be perfect.... but this is not a perfect world for us Targaryens

Congratulations, you deserved to win this tournament!
What will set the Wolves of the North in this version? Does it change the deck in depth?
Thank you for your feedback.
When did this take place ? Which sets were legal ?

Hey Slime congrats on the tournament! what changes are you thinking of now that the new chapter has just been released?

awesome job. this is almost my Targ Fealty build, no milks 3x HG, 3x Waking, 3x Tears.
well done
Thanks a lot !

Some match up need metagame for me
MoP will be a no brainer in near future (Cfr. Mirri Maz Duur)
totally... I will not remove milk from any of my decks in the near future
