Even more fun with A Very Good Tale...
This card seems like beyond powerfull... draw a card and get 1 resource... am-o-zing!
The 2 resources are only added if you discard Hidden Cache from you deck; not by discarding it from your hand as part of playing it.
You will only be able to activate one of these effects in a given situation.
OK, I see, thanks fot that precision. It makes this card awesome anyways!
It is pretty good if you regularly have ways to discard cards from your deck (A Very Good Tale, Zigil Miner, etc) and at least has the capacity to replace itself (for the cost of a resource) should you happen to draw it. Very solid card and well designed.
Hero Gandalf + Wizard's Pipe + Expert Treasure Hunter = Stupid good. Yeah, it can take some setup but if you are running Hero Gandalf then you are trying to get that combo setup ANYWAY. Why not throw three of these in?
Dwarf Sentry, Very Good Tale, etc, are effects that discard from the top of your deck. This would trigger as a result.
Yes, there are effects that discard cards from your deck. Zigil Miner, for example.
