Potentially really powerful, but I would almost always rather have Celebrian's Stone or The Favor of the Lady. But then, I've never been a big fan of these "sit on resources" cards...

I think that mono Spirit decks with Imladris Stargazer + Zigil Miner combo are perfect for this card. Almost every time I use this 2 cards, I end up with my heroes drowning in resources with nothing playable in hand. Even with Ancient Mathom, there are still not enough card draw options in Spirit. This card (and Blood of Númenor of course) can make use of this huge piles of resources when card draw is sparse. I once defended with Eleanor for 14 defense using Blood of Númenor :)

My only complaint with this card is that it isn't an attachment.

Yeah, like I said it can be really powerful. But the fact that I have to sit on X number of resources and have to draw into it and have it in hand on just the turn I need it...not a huge fan.

If I ran more mono-sphere decks where I am awash in spirit resources or used Zigil Miner more often (hated him back pre-errata when he was broken and haven't really looked at him since...) I might feel differently. As is I almost always run bi- or tri-sphere and would just rather spend resources getting a chump or two on the board.

To be fair, more and more the game is punishing us for chumping so my feelings on that might change but for now...not for me.

I see potential in this card. Eowyn + Herugrim + Lay of Nimrodel + Protector of Lorien = massive attack ability!
