The wording on this card does not match. Which wording is correct? Was there an errata I don't know about?
What does not work? Seems clear to me :
-engage an enemy
-spend 1 resource to play the card
-after the round, shuffle back ind deck if not dead.
The text on the site is missing the restriction "if you control at least 1 Dunedain hero,". This is on the card and it is the correct version as far as I'm aware.
It's the opposite. I have the card and it does not have the text "if you control at least 1 Dunedain hero." Do I have a misprint?
Seems like it, that's strange!
I'll try to remember to double check my cards later this evening to see what version I have as well.
the picture text 'if you control at least 1 Dunedain hero' refers to the Response ability, meaning you can only use that ability if you control a Dunedain hero.
The text transcription on the website says at the top 'Play only if you if you control a Dunedain hero,' which means that you can't play him normally for the cost of 4 during the planning phase, but you can use his response ability (since 'put into play from hand' doesn't count as 'playing') without any Dunedain heroes.
My card has the picture text. So I was thinking I could pay 4 for him since he is a neutral ally or even put him into play with Elrond + Vilya.
Just to mention for the record, my physical copy of this card matches the image above ("...if you control at least 1 Dunedain hero" and all).
Thanks. That is how my cards look too.
He's kind of like spirit Bofur but for emergency combat use instead of emergency questing.
"spend 1 resource". Can these be paid for by allies like Treebeard?
I don't think so. You can only spend resources from heroes. The only way to spend resources from allies is via effect on them.
Nope. Neither by Radagast.
