Another thematic winner here. Apart from his obvious hobbit and dunedain synergy and his excellent questing potential, especially regarding his cost, Mablung works like a charm in trap builds: is there an enemy on the table that eluded you so far? Just play the trap you have in mind for it and then play Mablung to return your victim to the staging area. The trap will do the rest. Fluff-wise, he's the quintessential trapper: taunts his enemy and lures it to its doom. Brilliant.

 

So many possible uses for such a low cost ally...

Pretty much agree with all of this. ^

 

Though honestly, the best part of this card is just that it's so different than Tactics Hero Mablung that you never feel like you are sacrificing one to take the other (I'm looking at you, Galdor!). They fit into very different decks.

With the possible exception of dunedain decks. In that case, both Mablungs could find a spot.
