Astra Militarum Orks
Aggro Fun
Don´t think, just deploy cheap army units on first planet
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
The deck so far:
I´m quite surprised with this deck, Is more solid that I thougt, specially agaisnt eldar and tau, races that need to build their economy, but have a very hard encounter agaisnt space marines, specially agaisnt Cato. So... In a Eldorath meta I think that have a chance, just for fun
Why did you include...?
-Caius Wroth: As I said this decks is very strong agaisnt warlords that needs to build his game capping planets, so... What if you destroy their hard earned advantage and laugh freaking hard?
-Rockrete Bunker: After removing Staging ground This deck needs more supports for engiseer and I think that a bit of mitigation is great
Why did you remove...?
Staging ground: With so few resources staging ground didn´t work as expected, I thought about adding the psyker just for it, but it dont trigger elysian assault team or Straken´s ability
Steel legion chimera: Too expensive for just 1 damage reduction, that most of the time means nothing because is the first one targeted, at least Caius has an impact on the game and no just on your resources
Ratling: Cheap, yes, But has almost no impact on battle, needs catachan outposts to do something
What next?
1- Need to cut 3 cards, not sure of what
2-Maybe I should remove Engiseer and rockrete bunker, inquisitorial fortress are key, but bunker and outposts dont do a great work
3-I´m starting to think about removing VP and adding RT, most of the times I have lots of cards in my hand that I can´t play due to lack of resources, so I think that RT are better for this
So... what do you think? How would you do this deck crazier?
Sample Hand:
Total Shields: 0
Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0
Total Command: 0
Average Command Per Unit: 0
You could push Augur's hit rate from 79% to 85% by running two fewer To Arms, and one more Outpost and Staging Ground, while maintaining the same level of rush effectiveness.
Also, while Steel Legion Chimera is a great card, I'd complement the Support heavy approach by replacing them with 2 Infantry Conscripts, which will help scare warlords and tough guys off planet 1: you'll find yourself hard pressed at present to shift things like Ku'gath or Enraged Ork.
Agree on Pirate over Trader.
Would switch Goff Boyz for Mystic Warden. Less attack value for sure, but can benefit from barrage, and can be put into play when you have no resources with Staging Ground.
This deck will suffer against more command-strong decks on the long game, so it'll be high variance, relying on good icon matching on early planets. However, Depot will mitigate that. I'd suggest run with the following rules, that have served my chaos weenie deck well:
1) If you don't get Ammo Depot, mulligan
2) If you still don't get Ammo Depot, concentrate command on drawing cards.
3) Once you have 2+ Ammo Depots, concentrate command on gaining resources.
Also, save rout and exhaust plays for AoE threats, don't be tempted to use them up earlier.
Good deck though, looks solid, and a good rush play.
I have build a similar deck, but balls deep on the aggro game, with no pirates or traders and all the zero costers except the snotling one. And i have the rule that, if the flop is not in your favor, go for the warlord kill, if that doesn't work, concede
actually Asklepios, do you know what the chance is of getting the right combination of icons for the aggro deck?
I think I like void pirate over rogue trader in this build.
Your units are super cheap... I see you running out of cards before you run out of resources.

I don´t know what the heck I was thinking when I decided to use RT instead of VP, I agree with you, while I keep drawing I can win, 4 resources/turn is enough to play this deck, about steel chimera I think that infantry conscripts are just too expensive for a deck like this also they can´t use Straken´s ability, but hiting a damn big unit for 6+ with preemptive barrage looks really cool, I´ll give it a try, I don´t know what to think about mistic warden, I can play them for free sure, but they dont trigger elysian assault team and Straken´s ability, switching to arms for 2 more AM supports looks great , I´ll put them in to do list for 2.0v, I also agree with your mulligan rules, and about looking solid... well is a fun deck I made it for a friend that really like AM lore, I don´t expect to see it in a tournament

Well, I took hearthstone´s zoo deck as inspiration, it uses very high quality cheap minions with a few tricks to keep him playing cards, this is exactly the same is no freaking pure aggro, have cheap minions, but in a deck with a with a poor drawing playing a army unit with so little impact in battle(Like pennal legionnaire) , in my opinion, is not an option
Thanks for the advice and opinions and sorry for bad english
I am not saying you should do the same, i like your build, it is interesting. In my deck i'm trying to not even worry about command, just spam units and i actually think that that deck is better with torquemada.

Now you're asking! That's a cool bit of math to work out, gimmee some time and I'll come back to you...
Ok, presuming my maths ain't messed up, which it may be:
10 card pool, 6 of which have any given icon.
Probability of 3 matching icons of green: 0.16666667
Probability of 3 matching icons of red: 0.16666667
Probability of 3 matching icons of blue: 0.16666667
Chance of none of these happening = (1-0.16666667)^3 = 0.579
Chance of one of these happening = 0.421
So 42.1% chance of an icon match on first 3 planet cards.
For 4 cards: 83.5%
For 5 cards: 98.2%
For 6 cards: 99.96%
For 7 cards: 100%
I coulda messed up the math though, as I haven't accounted for overlap in the sets, which I may need to. Will check with some more mathy people.
Doesn't feel right as I'm sure on 5-card flops I'm seeing no icon match more than one in fifty games.
