Is there one? I just moved here and I'd love to play some CoC but I'm not quite in touch with the local community yet. If anyone on these boards lives in the area and knows of any local LCG activity I'd really appreciate if you sent me a message.

Hi there wildefox,

I live in Burnaby, bought the game like 2 years ago and I have not had any luck finding players around. I know there are some, because the game is being sold but I don't think there is anything similar to a league or organize group. Anyways, I have a bunch of cards (CoC LCG and LotR LCG) in case you wanna play sometime. I have never played, but I'm really into Lovecraftian stuff so I think I would learn quickly. Reach me to this email: [email protected]

It's not exactly local, but there's a strong CoC community in Lynnwood, WA at Around the Table Games.  They had 13 players at their recent store championship and good beer on tap, too.  A trio of us Portlanders make the roundtrip for their tournaments and it's always a blast.

Though it's a drive, there's a store championship in Portland on March 28th (only $5 entry fee) and the Portland regional should be in mid June.  We generally have a good-sized turnout for our regionals (between 14-20 players) and draw players from all over Oregon and Washington.

I guess next time I visit WA I will be bringing my decks with me... I cannot get over about how difficult is to find players for CoC (and LotRLCG) in British Columbia. Thank you for the info Yipe.

If you can make your way to the downtown Vancouver area, we could probably get a few games going at a store I know. There may be some other people there interested in picking it up once they see how it plays too.

I think I might try and make the trek out for the Portland regional, assuming I can make the logistics work

We had 16 players for last year's regional and 15 for our recent store championship, so you're guaranteed to get in 5 hours of gaming vs a diverse number of decks.  Plus there's an excellent IPA brewer next door.

Wildefox, PM sent. Yipe, I definitely will be monitoring the activity in WA as well. It sounds promising!

unbornchicken & wildefox:

The Washington regionals for Call of Cthulhu have been announced as part of the new Evergreen Tabletop Expo. Details are here: https://www.facebook...18606424923472/

Not that Portland regionals will be bad (Yipe always puts on a great tournament), but Tacoma is a bit closer to Vancouver than Portland if that's a factor.

Fourteen to twenty players?? Yee-gads! That's the promised land for CoC.

Well, there were 13 at Avemier's store championship in Lynnwood, and we had 15 players at the Portland SC (9 of them from various parts of WA). Imagine the Portland regional will be similar in number.

I would say nearly half of our players are brand new, and every tournament I've been in has included at least 1 participant that is just learning the game (just such a person won our 12-person multiplayer event).
