1) The next FAQ will include a clarification of what the term “playing an event” entails, to clarify that triggering the ability on The Prince’s Plan (and similar events) is not considered playing an event and does not require paying the printed gold cost, nor does it trigger any effects based on “playing an event.”

2) Yes, Bran Stark and Hand’s Judgment can cancel the recursion ability on Prince’s Plan. Neither of those cancels care about whether an opponent is playing an event, just that the effects of an event are initiating. Since the recursion ability is the effect of an event, it can be canceled this way.

1) Is using the Reaction ability on The Prince's Plan and similar events ("pay 1 gold to return it from your discard pile to your hand") considered to be 'playing an event'?

 

2) Can The Hand's Judgment or Bran Stark cancel the "return from discard" ability of The Prince's Plan and similar cards?
