brilliant! Thanks

Could we have some more deck types added? "Balanced" for instance might be cool. (to contrast with Control/Aggro), or "Serious" (in between Casual/Tournament Quality).
I can add more pretty easily but I don't want to add too many. All the types on there currently are ones I grabbed from a mtg site. Is there any other term that might be better for between casual and tournament quality? I'm not sure Serious is self explanatory enough that people would automatically associate it with the other two choices.
Hey Darks, I know most people are probably going to get 3x Core sets, but for those of us who aren't, would it be possible to add the Quantity into the Dekbuilder? Otherwise I'll just have to memorise which cards come in 2x in each faction
I added something in the search results. That what you are looking for?
Just want to shout out again this deck builder is awesome.

Thanks for the builder. It's certainly been a time-sink over the last two days.
Two things I suggest:
- # of Limited cards in deck (maybe with an L or similar along the lines of the Loyal and Signature cards)
- # of Elite cards in deck
And maybe # of the Top 2 or 3 most Frequent keywords (Soldier, Ork, etc.) although this could be a logistical nightmare with very little upside.
Thanks for a good tool.

I've been having some serious issues with this deckbuilder-- when I export to .o8c, it does not always get all my cards! I recently had a Tau deck where the export did not catch my 4x Shadowsun's Stealth Cadre or 1x Fireblade Kais'Vre, and a Dark Eldar deck where it missed several other units.

It looks like my OCTGN export is having trouble with apostrophies. I'll work on a fix shortly.

Ok so 2 hours later I'm reminded why I hate OCTGN's guid card id system. In order to support OCTGN I have to parse their XML file to retrieve the GUIDS and create a lookup file using their information. Unfortunately if their names aren't exactly the same as mine my lookup will not find a match and will skip the card. So the game definition for OCTGN has Shadowsun's Stealth Cadre misspelled and Fireblade Kais'Vre capatalized differently than I do. Which is why those two cards wouldn't show up in the export. I've fixed my lookup file so they should work now but I need to know what other cards are causing issues so I can see why we have a mismatch. If you can email me (drew.dallas@gmail.com) your dark eldar decklist so I can run through it to see which cards don't match that will help me to fix the issue.
Sent. I'll let you know if I find any other cards with this issue.
Thanks, the 3 dark elf/chaos cards should be fixed. Ctrl+F5 the deckbuilder to see the changes.
One suggestion on the builder. Thanks for intlucind the Core Set quantities on the left (search results) could you include them in the in-deck cards as well? I'm trying to build decks that are limited to 2 core sets - as that's what I'll have IRL.
Something like: "Core Set (Qty: 2)" in the in-deck listing.
Thanks.

I'm wondering if the Submit Decks section isn't working quite right? I've submitted 2 so far and they never showed up in the list.
Either way, thanks to Dark for his fantastic work on this! BRAVO SIR!

I found that Fall Back! wasn't making it into my loaded OCTGN deck.

Awesome Deckbuilder!
But now that Conquest is available in many different countries, i would love to have the option to switch languages. I can totally understand when the card images stay in english, but the option to switch the names and "outside card image texts" to another language would be a huge help.
If necessary i would help to provide a german localization file.
Hi Darksbane
Whilst we are on about possible improvements, can I please suggest the following format?
1. You choose your faction. It opens up a faction's non-signature cards in your search (as well as neutrals). For simplicity, you may not change this choice without starting again (need that button, am I missing it?).
2. You choose your warlord. This is limited by your choice of main faction. This inserts those 9 signature cards (including warlord) into your deck list. You are free to go back to this drop down and change your warlord from the choice available for that faction, changing your 9 card slots.
3. You choose your allied faction. This is limited by your choice of main faction. It opens up the non-restricted cards of that faction in your search. You are free to switch allied faction, it kicks out all selected cards of the old faction and opens up the non-restricted cards of the new faction. The current facility to view but not select cards from the rejected ally is retained. This is so that when deck building, you can consider the pros and cons of each alliance and most importantly change your mind without needing to start again.
Just subtle changes to reflect the way we approach building decks but really useful. Sites like meteor which allow so much freedom to change identity etc should be used as a template for more flexible intuitive deck building that fits with how people iterate their decision-making.
Currently, there are very few other deck builders for Conquest. This game will become huge. Whilst I appreciate there is just one of you, if you really want to make CGDB the only site to visit for Conquest, I urge you to focus on improving the deck builder ever-so-slightly to the model above. It's a shame that CGDB had the liveliest Thrones forum but (some) people use agotcards for deck-building, probably because it always has the prematurely spoiled cards while CGDB has to wait for official channels. So for example if agotcards did Conquest, it would already have all the cards spoiled so far in its deck builder. This is important to the competitive player who wants to stay on top of things, plan for the future.
I use CGDB for 3 LCGs and meteor for Netrunner. I am a huge fan of you and all the hard work you've done for the LCG community. This is not in anyway taking anything away from that. But this game will be huge and if you want to generate even more traffic here, I urge you to focus all your efforts into making CGDB Conquest Deckbuilder the flexible tool it should be (it is restrictive compared to meteor's format with its make public/private switch, finding other public decks with a card from most recent created etc). In short, I think you should take this opportunity to learn from your competitors and make CGDB the indisputable no.1 place for Conquest.
And please insert yet to be released cards when they get spoiled like agotcards. And please, as a FFG site, be the first site with a full pack spoiler - before it hits the shops. I know this is not your fault but useless FFG but when I go to a Magic prerelease, I swot up on the all cards on MTGsalvation first, all of them, even before any card has been sold. Is it asking too much of FFG to generate traffic to their own site by giving you, Drew, an exclusive preview of the whole pack before your competitors spoil them all (because some store in Germany opened a pack before the rest of the world)? C'mon FFG, support your investment, instead of harming it by making it the last site to have the new cards in its deck builder!
I again reiterate that I have nothing but immense respect and gratitude for your LCG hobby endeavours. I just wish FFG helped more with simple things. Meantime, no deck builder is perfect and I hope you take suggestions above constructively. I would love it if CGDB became the indisputable first site to visit for this obviously big hit game.
Finally, thank you for all your hard work, Mr Dallas.
