Just spit-balling, but what about Zekka in a trooper deck?

Just spit-balling, but what about Zekka in a trooper deck?
It was talked about either early in this thread or the other trooper thread. I don't love it because his objective basically negates your shields since every unit has an extra blaster. Armed to the teeth is OK, although most troopers have mostly unit damage anyways, however some of it is edge enabled. Entangled is pretty situational, debt collector... Meh. I'm not sold on zekka yet. He seems too much of a double edged sword to me. I mean, there is plenty of ways the LS could kill him on your turn giving them a clear board to deploy and attack against on their turn.....

This is true regardless of just about any deck with him. The thought came from some games I played where that much extra unit blast significantly altered the math of the battles. The protect troopers can basically guarantee that damage gets through, and if Discipline is on the table there is a cost to mass killing of trooper units.
So if Zekka is not right for the deck, what about Veers? I know he also has been mentioned. Does giving just your units the extra blast (and the possibility of increased reserve value) make him worth including?

Has anyone had much luck with Turbolaser battery? My last 3 games have been against jedi shield decks and that has won me the game. Each time I triggered it I killed about 4 to 6 enhancements (didn't play any of my own since I was going for the reaction) and lightside lost all their momentum

I've had some success with Turbolaser Battery. I have Veers in in my Trooper deck that's designed to win the race and since you don't need as many enhancements or you're generating resources from officers it doesn't hurt you as much as it does the LS. It's also one of the only ways to take out Trench Run when it's being used.

Imho, turbo laser battery is one of the worst cards in the game.

A much better way to take out trench run is with tear this ship apart. Cheaper, no drawbacks for you, isn't scripted, no pre-reqs to use and is in a trooper centric set.

Unfortunately, Trench Run can't be targeted, so Tear This Ship Apart doesn't work.

I'm not saying that Turbo Laser Battery is the best card, however, it's one of the few that can take out all the LS enhancements in one fell swoop. Also, a lot of Trooper decks use many low cost units or depend upon Officers to generate resources rather than enhancements so it doesn't hurt you as much as it does against the LS generally speaking.
I'm a little surprised that you haven't seen Trench Run lately since the Worlds winner used it in his deck. I've seen it a lot but maybe that's just my meta.

@ Rio, I was also considering Executor but it's way too expensive. I don't think you'll have much of a chance to deploy it unless you have a Holocron on the board. Have you considered Vader's Fist instead?

Managed to pull the Killing Cold-Tagge-Espo-Executor combo today to murder Home One after taking 4 damage from a suped-up Rogue 3 on my final objective tonight. Can now retire the deck.

I've had pretty good success with:
Sith
2x Vader's Fist
2x Family Connections
2x Imperial Command
2x The Dark Trooper Project
1x The General's Imperative
1x Sabotage in the Snow
Set up a thicket of unit damage to hold off LS attacks, then win with Mohc/Orbital Bombardment/Forward Command Posts. Family Connections is seriously amazing.
