How do people feel about the cards this cycle for Aun'shi?  Planetfall gave virtually no printed Tau cards to Aun'shi (although some crazy heretics went over to Eldar allies with success).  This cycle has been much more promising though.  I've gotten to play the Enforcer just three times but he was definitely an MVP in all three of those games.  It has so much utility with Warlord threat, multiple unit destruction, and circumventing card effects like 'Ard Boyz, Librarian, and the Flying keyword (I was able to threaten a Helldrake away with Ion Cannon).

I haven't gotten to test Missile Pod with Aun'shi but I think it will mostly be used with Shadowsun or as a meta call against big time support metas.  I am very fond of the previewed Sniper Team in Aun'shi too.  The hammers, hp pool, and effect more than pay the cost in my opinion.

Has anyone else had success with the new cards in Aun'shi?  He was due for some fresh blood I think.

Enforcer is really, really good. Aun'shi's new best friend. Just played a game against him where an Enforcer + Ion Rifle was just going to keep bullying and steamroller me because my opponent had Aunshi's Sanctum to keep readying it up upon commit. But he made a mistake, and a turn later Clogged with Corpses cleaned that combo up. Still, very potent.

Heavy Marker Drone and Enforcer are brutal, as well.

It actually is doubled on the front end when you begin the "deal damage" process. It is like the mirror of flying. You adjust the amount of damage before you shield.

Nice one !

     Assign damage:
Place damage tokens equal to the
amount of damage being dealt next to the unit (or

units) being damaged

AunShi will come back ;-)

You're right that its limited in turning that final battle directly, but its also instrumental in getting an opposing warlord bloodied, which often means that when you hit that final battle your opponent has trouble safely committing his warlord and warlord train to planet 1.

I don't think I'd ever run fewer than 3 copies in Aun'shi.

So, this weird Elite meta now has me running an Aun'shi deck with no Kau'yon Strikes and only 2 Orbital Cities...

Lose the last 2 cities and you'll be where I was 6 months ago. It's funny how people complain about it being op, but it's an enormous tempo hit to play especially t1 in a world where you can snipe fewer and fewer cappers with 2 damage.

For sure, though the elite meta also means there's more often empty planets that you can get a battle ability on, and the mobility of an eldar alliance often means that Aun'shi doesn't have to fight alone anyway.

I'm fond of the Enforcer myself. I don't think I have room for it and the Sniper Drone though. Too many 4 cost imo

Is there anything to be done about an Urien (BCL additions) full choke deck? I find them to be brutal against aun shi. I don't run into the same issues with Mavros deck. I think that is because of being able to handle the thousand cuts plink and having drop pod assault to bring in units after command draw. Aunshi (Tau) only has the prelate for ambush options. Has anyone else had these issues? It seems that as the game goes by, all I have left are Cities and Aunshi because of the combo of power from pain, thousand cuts, and crow card choke. Against any other deck, my deck usually has cards and resources in spades.
