Resourceful is strictly better than Leaf Brooch if we are going for persistent secrecy, so.....goodbye Leaf Brooch? Or do we think we want both?

We shouldn't need both. We shouldn't be running to many expensive cards anyways and can use elf stone to cheat in any big allies that we do end up drawing.

Also, I know we don't want to add cards but after playing with ents this weekend, I think we should put them in this deck, they can really be the backbone of our combat.

Plus you can have the deck imbalanced towards one sphere. That way you know who to put the first resourceful on. In mine I always put the first brooch on Sam and first resourceful on Glorf for example.

+2x Valiant Sacrifice (yea, I know. stop adding cards!)
-2x swift and silent
-1x Sneak Attack
-1x Galadhrim's Greeting
-2x Take Not Notice (or -2x Into the Wild)
-1x Denethor

We have so many events, I think that Leaf is going to pay off nicely. It can help accomodate resources when u don't draw all the resourceful attachments.

how are we not playing a very good tale, isn't that like one of the best leadership cards.

That is indeed the trick! And of course, the question has to be asked how many ways to cheat allies into play do we need? The more of them we add, the more expensive characters we probably need to add to make sure we fire. In my opinion, I think we'll probably get better returns out of Elfstone, but I'm open to differing opinions.
I would say that I don't think Ents and Very Good Tale play together very well in solo. That's a lot of knelt allies that we're not using for other purposes. Sure, we can hopefully secrecy out of being engaged, but we do still need the questing potential.

If we get it down to the 53 card range i think that is a good place to go ahead and build and test it to see just how the resources really pan out and if what we are trying to do is working or if it needs to go in another direction.

That seems like a pretty good plan. Get in the close enough range and then take it for a test drive. Who wants to be the test driver?

Ok, how does this breakdown look? Denethor can always be kind of spotty so I agreed on dropping him. I came around on dropping Take No Notice as well. I'd been all for it when I thought we would be able to justify 3 hobbits, so now that we're not.... cut! So now we're down to 56?

Our curve is rather low, so we might be able to go for 2 resourceful since we don't necessarily need them straight away. And I thought we axed the scouts? So is that 52?

Drat, you're right! I didn't delete the Scouts from the list I posted just now. Ok, delete them, and yes, I think we could probably try it with 2 Resourcefuls and see how that split with the Leaf Broaches goes.

So has anyone given this a try yet? I'll see if I can't get it on the table this weekend. Overall, it looks pretty sweet, even at a few cards over.

I've been tied up with AGOT lately and haven't had the chance to put this one together to test, but I'm eager to know as well.
