We did one for the sixes, so now that we've seen the divisive Red Viper, who you got as the strongest 7 Coster in the game?

Oh thats a hard one. Tywin, Euron and Eddard all are awsome. I am actualy thinking maybe Queen of Thorns. If You have her on setup and start winning Intrigue from turn one You may overwhelm quite fast. Hard really. Not sure, need to think on that one.

I feel like Robert is an obvious choice. Joust aside, no one wants to face Bara in Melee.

I think that if I were looking at each 7 cost character by themselves, I'd choose Eddard Stark.  He is very effective by himself and doesn't need any help at all to be an impact while on the board.  All the other 7 cost characters can have their abilities mitigated by not meeting certain conditions.

The Red Viper - Yes, at 7 STR and being a tricon, he will always be useful untouched, but his ability has plenty of opportunity to not gain power or not gain enough power.

Robert Baratheon - If there aren't any kneeling characters or if you can't get your "won by" STR up enough(or there's no one to kneel), he can seem less impressive.  He has Renown, but so does Eddard.

The Queen of Thorns - If you don't win an INT challenge with her, or don't have any Tyrell characters in your hand to put into play, she is just a good character with Stealth.

Euron Crow's Eye - There's always a chance that there is not a location in the discard pile.  When this happens, he's still a solid 6 STR tricon with Renown(and Pillage if that is even cared about outside his ability).

Tywin Lannister - This guy can be a very high STR renown tricon.  That being said, part of his luster is that you have a chunk of change to make him a lot stronger.  Without that gold, he's a solid tricon with renown, which is similar to Euron castrated of locations.

Daenerys Targaryen - I think she has a lot of potential to do the most damage, and having Insight is fantastic.  Even without her Dragons doing things for her, she has a solid text box for burn purposes.  She won't gain you power by herself, but she might help you gain it through her effects indirectly.  That being said, she still needs help to be a lot more effective.

Old Bear Mormont - He really needs the Night's Watch to make him shine.  He is just a big body without them.

To me, the only time Eddard may not be useful is if you are not attacked.  Even if you are attacked by an INT challenge, he will stand and can be used for Dominance or to pay for effects etc.  Maybe I am giving him too much credit, but I feel like the chances of him being useless is a lot lower than with the other 7 cost characters.  His ability might not be nearly as impacting when it works, but it will work quite often.

Surprised Robert is most popular chose. Robert is a big guy with a military ans power. While tywin is big guy with all three icons plus gold every turn, not to mention can be just as strong as Robert.

It surprises you that Robert is popular? He's a control card! Of course he's the best! :P

But seriously, anything that effectively nets you usage as if it was or earned an extra card is key at 7 cost. Alas, Tywin and The Red Viper do neither very well, so they're at the bottom of the pile.

The main reason I find Robert the most impressive is because he's very unpredictable. Any effect that kneels one of your characters or one of your opponents boosts his strength. It complicates challenge math a lot.

Dany > Bob > Queen > Tywin > Ned > Euron > Old Bear > Viper

Gaps get bigger the lower down. The only three choices I'd consider 'wrong' would be the bottom three, the top five are all seriously strong cards. Even Euron is far from bad, but will be so tough to make work in the short term - once Greyjoy get some reliable location hate his value will skyrocket. Based on the spoilers we've seen, Dany looks set to be the centrepiece of all Targaryen decks for the foreseeable future; Bob is essentially "win a challenge and kneel a character" every round, a little less flexible than the others as Intimidate only work on attack but still a "must answer" card; Queen is an phenomenal resource card, the best we've seen so far; Tywin is non-limited economy which looks set to be key and is also a high STR renown tricon; Ned will change in value a lot depending on the match (can he be stealthed past, mainly), but with a Little Bird he single-handedly prevents unopposed challenges, and the longer the games go the more it seems as though it will favour Stark's power-grabbing cards like Sansa.

Old Bear Mormont, more like Old "Meh" "Bore"mont am I right. Viper will probably be good in the future, but right now how many high-STR blowouts are we really expecting to see out of a core set?

JC, you don't see Eurons synergy with We do Not Sow as a great double punch?
Or are you considering them in a vaccuum

Bah. All Euron needs is for an opponent to use a Kingsroad once. At that point, the economic advantage you gain by utilizing their Kingsroad every turn for the rest of the game (essentially) is huge!

The real chart of their strength would be something closer to:

Robert > Dany > QoT > Euron > Eddard > Old Bear > Tywin > Red Viper

Synergy with We Do Not Sow is powerful, for sure. But that requires winning an unopposed challenge, having the gold to spare and having the event (and your opponent not having a Hand's Judgement). And even then it's basically "pay a gold, spend a card and use a reaction to steal a location", which is entirely contingent on the power of the locations your opponent has in play. I don't want to undersell that effect and combo, because it is definitely strong, but compared to Olenna dropping in a big body for free, or Robert winning any challenge single-handedly and kneeling a character to boot, I don't think it's monumentally impressive for 7 cost (while still being highly impressive).
