Knight of Flowers + Highgarden + Lady Sansa's Rose is a solid 5 power on the power challenge. That is not a bad closer.

By the way, are the Targaryen still a faction of the game or not?

its 5 power on a Mil but if its a power challenge you get 6 power total. Unopposed+PowerChallenge+Renown+LadySansaRose.

And i dont think you can Highgarden when you are the attacker

6 power if you can claim any (7 for a claim 2 plot or for A Clash of Kings). Tyrell just got a whole lot more rush.

The only card I don't like out of that list above is the Umber army. Maybe using Summons for it and having 3 in a deck? Otherwise its not good enough without the ability and too risky for when you get it.

Mordane seems so much better than Luwin in terms of bonuses given. Can't be tutored and has 1 less icon, but otherwise very solid. More intrigue for Stark too - I don't mind a monocon so much when they cover a factions weakness.

If we get an army tutor (in the same way that Slobbor is a Lady Tutor) then that opinion changes though.

I really like the art on that Tyrell army. Horror and Slobber look like hobbits though.

the only reason i would use that Umber army is if you can make a full Stark army deck and you want all the army you can get. And even then Umbers would probably not make the cut

Knight of Flowers + Highgarden + Lady Sansa's Rose is a solid 5 power on the power challenge. That is not a bad closer.

You can't use Highgarden to remove defenders.

So you'd get renown and the 3 additional power from Lady Sansa's Rose for defending if you send the attacker away with highgarden

Or you can get renown, the three additional power and the 1 power for claim for winning a power challenge as an attacker.

The Tyrell cards are amazing.

The Warhorse attachment is non-unique and has three great targets in Loras, Horas and Hobber, so you can put more than one into play. I think it says the attached character needs to be attacking or defending alone, which works great with Jousting Contest and Highgarden. If the opponent's single participating character has higher strength, you remove it from the challenge, so you are basically guaranteed to win. The "Flowers for Sansa" only works with lone attackers or defenders as well, but Tyrell is unrivalled in one on one challenges and this looks quite easy to trigger.

On top of that, Hobber and Horas are both Redwyne characters, so you can additionally boost them with the Arbor Knights, and Horas can stand Margaery for another +3 boost.

And when you're not playing Jousting Contest, you could play A Tourney for the King, to give all your knights (including the cheap Arbor Knights) renown and immunity to events. With 8 initiative and a few knights on the board, you could grab a lot of power with one challenge (presumably military, since the Arbor Knight doesn't have a POW icon).

I'm digging the Tyrell Fool. He's silly, and not terrible, so he'll be fun to play. Perhaps with sound effects to accompany him?

The Tyrell Fool would be a prime target for Dornish Paramour on the offensive.  He's a risk, albeit an interesting one.

Maybe slap Dawn and Syrio's Training on him mid-game? I'm going to have fun with that guy.

If anything I think the best choice might even be the Arbor Knight - if you have this on him and three gold spare and attack with the Arbor Knight, in order to make sure you don't win the challenge the opponent has to defend with two characters of 5 or more STR!

Oh man.  Need a t-shirt with Horas on it.  Looks like he's playing some pagan folk metal or something; really rocking out.
