Could a player use the shield placed by Closed formation to cancel the token from Rash Action?

I see where Queklaine is coming from, but from a timing standpoint, I don't think there's a distinction between "enters play" and "plays a unit." The FAQ states that a reaction ability is "always used immediately after its triggering condition has occurred and has been resolved." For playing a unit to resolve, the unit has to enter play.
At that point, both players could initiate reactions to a unit entering play or being played. However, because the Dark Side player is the active player, he gets the first chance to do so. Thus, the shield would be placed on the fighter before the Light Side player can react with Rash Action.
If the Light Side player chooses to initiate Rash Action anyway, the Dark Side player would have to "place a focus token" on the fighter. But can the shield be removed instead? The Core Rulebook says shields can prevent "one focus token that would be placed on the shielded card by an attack or an enemy effect," so the question is whether Rash Action qualifies as an enemy card effect. The focus is only being placed because of a Light Side card, not a framework event, Dark Side cost, or Dark side effect, so I'd say the answer is yes.
In short, the shield can block the focus token from Rash Action. It doesn't matter that the Dark Side player is the one instructed to place the focus token, because the focus token still originates from a Light Side effect.

The only basis I have for this guess, and it is a guess, is the difference between enters play and comes into play. I feel like "opponent plays a unit" sounds faster and would be the first thing to resolve between the two. That would mean that you would have to place the focus token before you would get the shield to block it. This is just off of my gut feeling and I have no rulings to back this up though.

When you play a unit, it enters play.
I believe the answer to the question depends on who the active player is. In most cases, it will be the DS player, with fighters coming into play during his Deploy phase. In such cases, the shield would go on first, and then the Rash Action could be played.
