The native strength pumps in Tyrell make it a natural fit for Lord of the Crossing. Triggering the Mander and standing Randyll has never been easier. Unfortunately, without a Banner it looks like Left & Right are necessary to fill out the lower curve.

For starters, I'd leave L and R at 1X and replace them with 2 HG. Then, 2 Highgarden, 3 Knight of Flowers and 2 Mare in Heat would certainly warrant the inclusion of Jousting Contest, perhaps even 2X.

Highgarden + Mare in Heat is certainly strong, but I felt it was too expensive here, where I'm trying to win relatively quickly and can't afford the 3 gold tempo hit.

Scantrell.

The Tyrell build I have roughed out in mind has 2x Jousting Contest, 3x Mare In Heat, 3x Lady Sansa's Rose, 2x Highgarden, 3x Growing Strong. Because Crossing is best for swarm builds, I think Tyrell Wolf is best for this strategy (I know I wrote Stark Rose but I was wrong, Roderick is a boost to Stark Fealty aggro).

In my opinion, there are 2 types of knight builds with this pack. The weenie swarm renown using Tourney of the Hand, Knighted and Hedge Knights - and the solo Knight & Lady build listed above. It's difficult to find space for both strategies and I feel it's dangerous to dabble in both so I would focus on swarm for Crossing (as the boost helps all, plus Randyll of course.)

Haven't got the pack yet but will post more thoughts on this when I distill them. I don't think I'm going to enjoy this pack window's weenie rush - roll on First Snow!

(Will try to post more in this section again.)

That said, it seems well planned to me that this and a counter (first snow) are one pack apart. Well done FFG.

Also, post First Snow the more controlly knights theme with highgarden and such will be a lot better.

I personally would go two Loras and one Olenna with perhaps two ladies in waiting.

If you're running Crossing you can't splash Stark cards, unfortunately

Can't wait to try this out. Looks really different from what PulseGlazer played today on stream. Ok, what is Loras?

Loras is the knight of flowers and Olenna is the queen of thorns.

Yep sorry I may not have explained myself properly. Because the reply was actually to both threads that Steven opened (Stark Rose and this one) at the same time.

The Lone Knight + Lady build is probably best in Tyrell Wolf. It uses Jousting Contest x2 which is anti-weenie and all the other cards I listed.

I don't think Tyrell Crossing is competitive (yet, needs deeper faction pools, I love the design) as Wildfire should return to the meta pronto for this pack window and Crossing needs a big board. But if I were to build it, I would focus on the weenie aspect more than the solo knight plus lady combo.

My own suspicion is that the best way to play Weenie Knights Renown is Martell Rose as you can get card parity with Traders and Daughters, stall big dudes with Ghastons (especially those pricey mares) and then Long Plan into Tourney of the Hand (to avoid Wildfire overcommit) with access to 3 Martell weenie knights and In Doran's Name for vomiting knights. Helps that House Dayne and Arbor have same icons for Doran's Game.

I really should stop posting what my next deck will be...

I've been toying with this list for a while now and fell pretty confident in it. I think my last minute drifts away from pure rush were a mistake, I'll elaborate more for Tuesdays "Taking the White" but heres the list I ran at my SC on Saturday. Lost in the final due to a single character set-up (which had literally never happened to me with the deck) but other that I found that the deck can beat anything except Bara very easily and Bara is only slightly unfavorable. It will only really be good for a month until first snow comes out but until then it's pretty dope.

Patrick, thanks for sharing your list. I'll have to try Support of the People and Put to the Sword.

I'm kind of surprised at the lack of Superior Claim.

The list was updated and I did a little report on it for Taking the White. http://www.whitebook...-crossing-pt-2/ Knighted got cut before the final version.

Is anyone playing Olenna's Informant in this? That extra challenge could really mess with your opponents head.
