Sure, so when smugglers get Prep and Planning let's talk.

.........................................

As an off colour set I'm not seeing the value of putting it in to get the events to go off cheaper.

That first part is fair. The fate card is valuable in all factions, but probably most valuable in smugglers.

The second part not so much. The only thing you lose by running this in a split deck is the ability to recur events with the objective. But smugglers run so many objectives that the card draw will be on with the main guy. Also, being able to dig for a bamboozle is really nice

I personally foresee Freeholder/Willard decks to crack into the top tier of decks just because of the nasty removal which combos into dirt cheap Freeholders. Falcon fits in perfectly here as well. So it's really a question as to what 4 rebel pods make sense to fill the deck out. You could talk me in Derlin, Cracken, Judder, Core Leia, or Winter.

The objective is rebel only and Willard is any event.

Jarratt: I took this from tgo as a correction to the original post, i.e., the objective was rebel affil only, but that was a mistake. However, you can't do holding all the cards from discard because it is a smuggler event, and the objective text is for rebel events only.

Yeah. I'm already forgetting you can't use the objective on non rebel cards. I have ideas in my head for double bamboozled too.

Do new packs usually get added to the deckbuilder prior to the release or just a bit after?

They generally get added right before the release since all the cards are generally spoiled before then.

Im having dreams of having 2 of GA Leias objective out striking with Endor Han, 2 Pathfinders. Striking with Han, then striking with both Pathfinders, then strike the other 2 objectives using Han playing A New Hope, bouncing the Pathfinders and Han, after Han leaves place both Pathfinders into play with Leias objective, the Infiltration on Han strike again use the Pathfinders again. I know its living the dream but its a funny dream. :)

I was responding to Scottie and I was referring to the affiliation of the event cards.

So a deck that looks to play Rebel Assault 8 times is now a very real possibility. BTW, how would the rebel objective interact with Undercover? The objective says to remove the card, but Undercover says to place the card as captured. Which text takes precedence?

I would expect that you would play out the event to completion then complete the objective action.  So the undercover event card is captured (potentially allowing interrupts/reactions), but then you complete the objective action and the card is then removed from the game.  So not immediately removed, but eventually yes.

Right on, if I wasn't clear I meant it was *my* mistake. :-)
