Hey everyone!

I've managed to convince my Age of Rebellion group to play Arkham Horror on weeks when we are missing people. We did one playthrough of Night of the Zealot with the starter decks, which ended pretty horribly--Scenario 2 was a cluster for us. From that I learned that if we do it again, we need to make decks with all the available cards be cause we were too ham strung at times with just the cards of 2 core sets.

Here is where my problem comes. I have 2 cores and all of the Dunwich sets. That all we have as a base. I'm hoping I can convince some of them to start getting there own sets--one of them has their first core, but they are scarce around here--but for now it just my pool we can work with. What I was wondering is if you have any tips or strategies other than letting them take all the primary class cards and let them find the cards they want to use first and the rest of us use what's left of that class to fill out when needed? Not really looking for decklists, just ways to manage the small supply of cards effectively.

I have had a campaign win for Night of the Zealot using your cardpool.

First thing is that the 4 investigators should be different colours.

My preference for 4 player is to have 4 specialists, 1 fighter, 1 clue collector, 1 evader, and 1 investigator with strong willpower.

In my case that was Zoey, Rex, Wendy and Agnes.

Skill cards and careful placement can generally let you get away with each investigators weakness, for example all investigators except Rex should have Flashlights (even Rex should consider it first scenario), Wendy should have Overpower because sometimes Rats are a thing, Agnes should have Manual Dexterity etc. Then as you level up you can start taking cards that help compensate for weaknesses and let each guy do their thing. However it is a tough call on who gets Peter Silvestre, I went with Agnes so Wendy could have Cat Burglar.

I have also had a successful campaign where more generalist investigators were used -  Pete, Jenny, Zoey and Rex - providing you with 3 investigators who are good enough at investigating and 3 who are good enough at fighting. The other advantage to using all Dunwich investigators is that there is less overlap of cards. There is no purple investigator so essential purple cards like Ward of Protection should be taken as part of the 5 other cards allowed in the deck, Zoey likes Rite of Seeking also.
