Would it be possible to add a sub-forum for each clan?

It would be cool for each clan to have a private place to:

a) Build a sense of community,

B) Discuss things like, what Role would we like to choose at future storyline events

I've seen things like this in L5R rpg's, and I think it would be a great idea, here, too. Make it so that each account on here could only sign up for ONE of the clan sub-forums. Of course, you'd probably have Scorpion clan members creating multiple accounts, so that they could spy on other clans, and perhaps block the Role that another clan is shooting for. That would only add to the flavor of the whole thing.  :)

I liked this idea until the part where you said each account could only access one of them. Granted, I don't think that's feasible anyway - cgdb seems to be perpetually short on development resources. But anything that further encourages the attitude of "I only play one clan" is something I'm against. Sure, I was a Mantis player in the CCG, and mostly only played them in tournaments, but in regular games it's silly not to branch out once in a while.

Yeah I like the idea of sub forums, but not sure I like the idea of access restriction.  In casual play I'm pretty open to playing all factions.  The LCG format encourages that since we all own the entire card pool.  Also even if you are loyal because of your hatamoto status or for thematic reason it still is worth wild to play the other factions outside of official tournaments.  You need to understand how they play to figure out how to fight against them.

I agree to sub forums for Clans, but I don't agree with limited access.

I would also like to see a pinned post that had a list of all the Websites, Facebook Pages, and any other Clan related items.

such as Dojo of Lies, Honesty of the Phoenix, The Kobune Port, Shinden Fu Leng etc...

as someone who has commitment issues and bounces between dragon/scorpion... I fear for any kind of limited access

Online RPGs need restricted access forums, It's the way it's designed. The LCG on the other hand doesn't need it, Anyone can head to the clan forums where discussions take place about roles and other things happen anyway.

While I like the idea of Clan sub-forums, I don't think the community is large enough to support such a division. Once it gets more active, maybe it might be a good idea but for now, the individual clan strategy threads seem to fulfil the purpose.

The L5R forums at FFG have more than half as many posts as the GoT forums and almost half as many as LotR (and MORE posts than any other LCG).  I think this game is going to be huge.  The only question is whether or not much of the traffic finds its way here, and I'm betting it does - these forums are much more user-friendly than FFG's IMO.

Back in the day before the fall, each Clan had there own Site, some had multiple sites. And that was just in English.

You also had sites just for the Ronin, the Kolat, Shadowlands, you had the super secret sites.

And you also had the RPG sites.

I think the player base can be big enough to support it.

come on, guys. It's an LCG, not CCG. You can play all the clans, unless you're a Hatamoto and you care about it. I see no point in separating the community. Personally I'd like to read about all the clan strategies.
