[Oishisan]

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening.  With the New Roles now decided, I thought a little Deck Theory might stimulate some new discussions.

 

It focuses on Military Economy bringing into play a few Water Only cars previously unavailable to Unicorn.  The idea is to buy a character, then pass first and force your opponent to "over-invest" on Defense.  The Conflict Deck looks to maximize force through NON-Event Cards making Ageless Crone and Utaku Tetsuko more impactful.  The deck is as yet untested, but as always, I welcome feedback.

So I put together a New "Old School" Unicorn Deck using Golden Plains Outpost.

 

I built it around the Seeker Role splashing Crab for access to Fight On and Rebuild.  I like Rebuild in this deck because it allows you to fetch Favorable Ground or Shiotome Encampment .  There is the usual Miya Satoshi is in the deck, but he is there basically to help you dig for your Unicorn Magistrates.  One thing I should point out.  The deck is very purposeful to include Good Omen.  The reason, everyone seems to be bidding high and it's free fate for Ide Messenger, I am Ready or simply to keep a Charge or Cavalry Reserve around for an extra turn.  If you bid low one turn, the gained Glory allows you to bid high on the next turn.  Please let me know your thoughts.

Some Changes
Giver Gifts never really came into play so I de-emphasing Courtier theme and upping Cavalry stakes. Switched one Giver of Gifts for a Yumino & traded 2x For Shame for 2x Court Games.

I’m also thinking of adding Invocation of Ash instead of Ornate Fans, but I’m concerned it’s usefullness given the fact that it can only be moved to a Character with 1 Fate? I guess I could just keep the Giver of Gifts and try it out that way.

the cost for Invocation of Ash to transfer is the honor loss. Even if you transfer to a character with no fate, the cost is paid and the transfer is completed.
