SW LGC cards you wish they'd have made?

My brother and I used to collect and played Star Wars LCG, but after the Rogue Squadron set we began to play it less and less, due to introduction of other LCG like Conquest, AGOT 2.0, and L5R. Recently, after I heard the cancellation of this game, I decided to buy all the remaining expansions so I can have a complete set and update my old decks. Looking through the spoilers, I was rather surprised to discover that in the Endor cycle, they never made a Lando Calrissian card for the Rebel affiliation as the 'Gold Leader' and a Millennium Falcon that he piloted during the Battle of Endor. Given that all three versions of Lando were belonged to the Smuggler affiliation, I felt that it was a huge oversight not to give him that special set commemorating that distinction, and a victory that seemed to have excluded him. I hope that if there are future fan made expansions, they would make a set for Lando and his special contribution.

 

Are there cards that you felt the devs could have made before this LCG was cancelled?

So I don't know how in the loop you are with the end of the game but as a prize for the last few major tournaments the winners could design their own card. These cards are designated as "replacement" cards and you can swap them in place of any card with the same number (i.e. 2 of 6, 3 of 6). They're handing out a set of the replacement cards at GenCon in a month. I think this would be a neat thread to specify what card you would design if you could have a replacement.

 

I had some discussions with some buddies and this is what I came up with:

 

Malachor Superweapon. A LS neutral, unique 1/1 enhancement with no pips.

 

"Enhance your play area. Discard this enhancement if there is a not a Jedi or Sith objective in play. You may not play this enhancement if a copy of it is in your discard pile.

 

Action: Focus this enhancement and discard it to set the Balance of the Force to the other side."

That's probably overpowered as hell but whatever.

Well, it could be pretty destructive for the game but it is dead anyway :D so I would like some kind of counter cards. Maybe not directly discard the character that was just play but some more cards like "rash action", when opponent plays sth he is forced to do sth or destroy that card/focus etc.

About names etc, let just get back to episode IV V and VI, I would cut myself if my idea of card would be printed or some newer s""t.

I wish they made a LS objective that have all trait (or the trait of all other objectives in play), so it can either be Endor, Hoth (or Tatoinne for protect Tatoine Chuds ^^) with a 1-cost enhancement with it giving all trait to an objective. 

So you can try to play a full-trait based deck (Hoth or Endor) with some objectives without that specific trait. Always want to play Jedi Leia in a Hoth deck with Subzero defense. Can also turn a DS mission into a Hoth/Endor Objective if needed.

Enhancement can also let you bounce back damage from Shield Generator Assault to any DS objective, for example

You can also put in that pod an enhancement (enhancing play area) that grant you something if al your objectives shares a common trait. Maybe "If all your objectives shares a common trait, they cannot be affected by opponent card effect". No direct damages, no Turbolaser, no Yularen, only icons if you don't run enhancement removal. It's powerful but you can disable this ability by playing missions (and LS can have it back if they have the enhancement giving all trait)

 

Also wish they give a way to boost Rebel Alliance Leader's Force Icon. Seriously, why Mon Mothma only have 2 ? She's the Rebel most important Leader, she needs to have at least 3, if not 4, pips.

They could have made an objective like that :

Each Unique "Rebel Alliance" Character Unit gain the Leader Trait. Each Unique "Rebel Alliance" printed Leader Unit gain 2 Force Icon

Aside from Lando, I also wish they'd give us a new Leia Organa. Let's face it: she has two character cards that are practically the same (both get 'Captured' when out of play), even though we never had a version of Leia on Endor as part of the Commander Squad, or the Leia in Bespin, or Hoth, etc. Seriously, for a main character, I felt like the devs had neglected her.

Well, we did get Endor Leia, actually, but yeah, I would have loved a Hoth Leia.

I agree on generic light side fighters - if only because we got so many X-Wings and generic Y-Wings, where mah A-Wingz?

Also, the biggest surprise considering his popularity - Baze Malbus. We got Chirrut, and having him without Baze seems odd - maybe they were planning on having him later on then they shut the game down. If they weren't giving him his own set he would've been in Chirrut's set in my view. Same with K-2S0. 

I'm surprised we didn't get a Rebel Lando, but between his pilot set and Nien Nunb's later on, we more or less got the Endor Lando.

Like others have said, another Lando would've been good (or at least cool), as well as more LS fighters.

 

I would've loved to see a Battle of the Bands with SS Modal Nodes and Scum Max Rebo!

I look at Trust Me and think, "Man this set is really behind on the power curve"

 

If Lando had another bomb/pip and either the chud and event had another pip there would definitely be a case for it currently. Oh well, I can dream. 

 

EDIT: Task Force 99/SCAR Squadron/Kreel would have been slick.

I don't know if this would be good for the game, but I would have liked to see more sets with two resources. I'd love to include Daughter of Tanaab, No Match for A Good Blaster and Honor Among Thieves in more decks, but it's hard to justify running them over stronger resource-free sets if the deck needs six resources, and event-driven decks generally do.

Yes, thematically I feel like they could have done a lot more with just the original trilogy. They made a cycle out of the Hoth battles and that felt just right (obvious gameplay / design errors side).

I'm going to echo the sentiments of Admiral Ozzel and Rebel/Endor Lando.

The other big set that I'm surprised we never got was something for Yun- it's clear the makers of the LCG had some major love for the Dark Forces games, and considering the rest of the Seven Dark Jedi (Jerec, Sariss, Boc, Maw, Gorc, and Pic) were all in the game, I thought for certain that Yun would be in the final cycle, and it feels almost odd not having him.

And to invert the topic, I'm really surprised that there's no less than four sets that represent Renegade Squadron- a group that so far as I know, only appeared in a couple Battlefront spinoffs and never had much of an effect on canon as a whole. Even seeing one was a bit of a surprise, but this really threw me for a loop when I got into the game.

Actually the print of that doesn't look too bad, it must have gotten crunched out something in templating. The card looks like a big foot drawing in a hillbilly general store.
