How many cards can you put under objective during one engagement? I think one.
How many can you use during one edge battle? I don't know.
(There is this 'Limit 1/ engagement'.)

Reaction: After a unit you control resolves a strike which deals damage to an objective, put the top card of the defending player's deck face down under this objective. You may use cards under this objective as if they were in your hand during edge battles.
As written, you can use any number of cards under the objective during an edge battle. You can only trigger 1 instance of the Reaction each engagement, but the lasting effect set up by the Reaction does not have any limit for the number of cards used.

Worth noting that I'm adding this to the list of my cards to watch (and to ask if it's functioning as intended). Worth noting that you are not limited to placing the cards in edge stacks. You could also play any relevant Interrupt or Reaction events as long as they would be played before the end of the edge battle. For instance, if you can manage to pay for it, you can play Reversal of Fate from under Stealing Secrets.
