It's coming down to the end!

Pink Group: jimmyc has secured a spot in the finals, but for the other slots it's otherwise a 4 way race.  Also there's no telling who will advance as the 1st seed.  Really tight competitive group!

Blue Group: Letux is through as 1st, Kiramode 2nd.  One match left to play between CoDameron and Yodaman, and CoDameron needs to earn only 8 GP to advance.  Will he be held?

Green Group:  DavFlamerock is through as first, Mattropolis 2nd.  Currently, Andrea B is ahead but WestyMan still has 3 games left to play and also would have superior tie-breakers.  this one is.... too close to call.

Yellow Group: Sirivanhoe2 is through in the 1st seed with a 3 way race for 2nd and 3rd.  Also a highly competitive group!

Group Round goes through this Sunday evening.  Players advancing to the Elimination Round can begin messaging me their decklists.  please note if you're using replacement cards.

Good luck to everyone in their final games.

I swept yodaman yesterday in some really close games. He got 9 points on the DS and 5 on the Ls for a total of 14. I'll post those games, as well as the ones with Josh in the recorded games thread

It’s down to this folks; BallerMithel and DonovanM on the win and in. Either one sweeps and they’re through. If there’s a split then they and Alfguys all stand at 5-5 but no amount of game points would bump alfguys out of the cut. BallerMithel currently has a 6 GP deficit so things are looking good for Donovan, but BallerMithel did fight the leader of the group, JimmyC, to a DS so there’s no counting him out!

It looks like this match triggers the 4th tiebreaker in yellow group.

It does!  How exciting!

I looked through the record at it appears TNWT completed his 2nd to last game before you (Haxxson) did.  Correct me if this is wrong.

Just played BallerMithel.

DS split.  On LS I only got 2 damage on an objective. No objectives blown up.

BallerMithel got 1 objective and 2 extra damage.

I think  DonovanM(13) and BallerMithel(17)

Thank you everyone for participating in the Fall 2020 Online Tournament Group Round!

100 games were played amongst some very competitive groups!

Congratulations to everyone who is advancing, and especially to our first seeds who who a first round bye in the Elimination Round.

Players who are advancing should PM me their decklists for the cut by Tuesday night.

I look forward to seeing the lists and following the games!

Despite gerrymandering 4 NYC players into one group, glad to see 5 of us advance! Good luck to all (but a little more luck to donvanm, codameron, jimmyc and haxxon).

Considering there were 6 between the 2 US time zone groups, being one off from 50/50 isn't bad

Haxxson got to hang with the euro crowd this time!

In the future I would like to do away with the US/EU time zone groups. We need more opportunities to play with everyone in the community. Can extend the group round a week to accommodate for needing to find a weekend to play a transatlantic match. We’ll keep the Green Group though. That’s been working out well. Maybe we’ll have a champion emerge from that group!

Decklists are almost all in. There are some exciting archetypes!

We could probably work it out ok  time-zone wise. I'm glad the green group went well, I think it's a great idea. I love that people are still getting into this game.

Another logistical note, Donovan had put together a discord server for the pink group, and despite my early grumblings about having to use yet another thing, it worked out really well for scheduling and then having a place to play.
