On to the Elimination Round of the 2020 Fall Online Tournament!
Players who make the cut will have until Tuesday November 10, 11:59pm to pm me (MacRauri) and lock in their decklists. Please note if you'll be using replacement cards in a pod and don't forgot to list the affiliation card as well. We will get those posted for all to see as quickly as possible.
The Elimination Round is single elimination best of 5. During the first two rounds where there is a higher seed, that player may decide which deck they want to play first. Games will alternate between decks for the first 4 games. During the finals and semi-finals the starting deck is decided randomly. Should a 5th game be needed, the player with more game-points earned during the match may decide if they will play LS or DS in the 5th game. If that is a tie decide randomly.
Feel free to split your games up across multiple nights and report as you go along.

Here are the deck lists for Fall 2020! What a diverse field it is! All of the champion replacement cards are seeing play. Should be a very exciting Elimination Round.
Typically we've tried to do one round per week, but with Thanksgiving coming up that may be difficult. So just try to get your matches in in a reasonable amount of time so that we conclude before the winter holidays and can begin the next tournament in January!

Got a couple of games in with Bakkhos, ended up in a LS split.
Game 1: Bakkhos wins LS with alfguys DS dial at 11
Game 2: Alfguys wins LS with Bakkhos DS dial at 6
Game one was very tight, result essentially hinged on a 1 pip difference edge battle. Early Dice and Jyn kept the walkers at bay.
Game two was the steady march of LS units that kept coming back from the grave (get killed by targeted strike, only to be drawn and played again), and a mighty tauntaun taking an objective.

Finished up the set against Bakkhos.
Game 1: alfguys wins DS with Bakkhos leaving 9 damage on objectives.
Game 2: alfguys wins LS with Bakkhos dial at 6
Owen and a guardian got to join my tauntaun in doing objective damage, but it was an astromeched red 2 that sealed the deal.
Enjoyed playing abasing Bakkhos, glad to see new blood into the game!

DonovanM edges out a 3-2 victory over Mattropolis.
There were 5 DS wins, but each of our LS came close once.
Game 1: Matt won DS, Donovan had 3 damage for 1 pt.
Game 2: Donovan won DS, Matt had 2 objectives no extra damage for 8 pts.
Game 3: Matt won DS, Donovan had 2 objectives and 3 damage for 9 pts.
Game 4: Donovan won DS, Matt had 2 damage for 1 pt.
Donovan(34)-Matt(33)
Game 5: I had to choose DS based on our previous matches, but had a feeling Matt might breakthrough.
Matt had damage spread out over all three objectives 4, 2, and 4. Ultimately, it came down to some timely hands of the emperors, talon rolls, and a death from above.
Great games.

And we have our finalists!
DonovanM will face off against CoDameron in a best of 5. Which beautiful TIE deck will emerge victorious?
In the 3rd place match we have Sirivanhoe2 vs Kiramode! Which player will build a Voltron Profundity first?
I was able to catch Sirivanhoe2's matches this weekend on Discord, they were a lot of fun to watch, so thanks for everyone who took part in that!
My summary of the matches is as follows:
Ivan vs Alfguys
Game 1: alfguys came within 2 damage of winning the first game as LS and had the Rebel assault in hand, but Ivan had Customs Blockade out and alfguys was sad.
Game 2: alfguys played a bunch of walkers and then came the reserve trooper and Ivan was sad.
Game 3: Ivan played walkers and wampas and had reserve 7 and alfguys was sad.
Game 4: Ivan took the force from the Imperial war machine, starved them on cards, built a voltron Profundity and alfguys was sad.
Ivan vs Donovan
Game 1: Ivan muscled through 2 objectives, before falling to the TIE counter attacks
Game 2: Donovan flopped into False Report allowing him to take 2 objectives before Ivan started rebuilding. Donovan came within 1 point of winning, but he needed a 3rd gun on some unit to help Jan an X-wing and a Fringer Captain get unopposed vs a Wampa. He only had 1 resource to get it and no Intel Operatives or Alderaanian Survivors were there to help. So Donovan was sad.
Game 3: Ivan discarded a bunch of cards to play Profundity and an A-wing. But Donovan played Warning Shot on Profundity and had The Best That Credits Can Buy out. So Ivan was sad. very sad.
Game 4: Ivan started his turn by playing the AT-AT resource but Donovan discarded it with Peaceful Resistance and Ivan was sad.
There was other stuff that happened too, but those were the highlights!

Colby and I are planning to play on Discord at 8:30pm Eastern on Wednesday.
Get your drinks and snacks ready. Should be fun.
Colby is planning to record via screen capture, but if anyone else is willing, it would be good to have a backup.
