Combine with the Anthropology Advisor and you will almost always have more skill than your opponent in stories.
Even without him, MU aren't lacking in investigation icons, and as it is non-unique and cheap (much like Altar of the Blessed), it can quickly become a win more card. When compared to the Altar, it doesn't work on everyone, so less likely to be used in combination with certain factions, but where you are using investigation characters, they can get bigger skill boosts.
