Chosen for CotD 13th July 2015, as with the new cards from Thousand Young built on revealing the top card of your deck, I felt this card could be of interest to people, and as it doesn't reveal it means you aren't giving away any information to your opponent.

At 0 cost whilst it is taking up space, it doesn't cause a resource hit, and potentially gets you through your deck faster.

Nice... A filtering card.
Nice... A filtering card.

Yes, it would work great with those new 1000 Young cards, as well as Peter Clover, Disturbing Auction, and a number of other interesting cards. I believe I'll have to design a Workshop of the Telescopes deck.

Too bad it's an attachment. It might work well as a companion piece to the Archmage's Attaché, though, hmm...

Do you have to exhaust the character if you have this attached or ist it allowed to exhaust attachments (i assume that it is, just want to make sure)?

You just exhaust the Pocket Telescope.  It doesn't say anything about exhausting the attached character, so doing so should not be assumed.

The original CCG version is functionally the same and does have the "Attachment" keyword, but it doesn't say it needs to be attached to a character.  You may think this was an oversight, except the next card in the set (Flare Gun) has the Attachment keyword and yet explictly states that it needs to "Attach to a character you control."  The card before Pocket Telescope (Whateley's Diary) is also an Attachment, but like PT, doesn't demand that the card attach to a character.  So, I think the original version didn't require this and is therefore a much, much better card.
