FAQ:

Should read: “...If Trent Dixon is
the only character you control that is
committed to a story, count his skill and
icons to all other story cards as well.”
When he is committed alone on his
controller’s turn, the application of
Trent Dixon’s skill and icons to the other
stories does not cause those stories to
resolve. While he is committed alone on
his opponent’s turn, the application of
Trent Dixon’s skill and icons will only
take place on stories where there are
attackers. Trent Dixon is only committed
to one story, and can only go insane or
take wounds from lost struggles at the
story to which he is actually committed

I guess you're right, Daevar. That nerfs the Captain a little because you need a punching bag or two like you said ( on offense anyway). That also makes Trent Dixon even worse than I thought he was. I'd say Dixon is now one step above Clifton Rosenberg for worst characters of all time.

He's a solid defender, and terrible on offense.... a bit over priced.

It's nice to have his combat and skill at stories to provide opposition, as long as the one you do commit him too isn't going to get him killed or driven insane....

In a Syndicate/Agency deck perhaps and Ward of Protection attached to him?

No, thanks.  A Ward of Protection would be wasted on Dixon, IMO.  I'd rather use the Ward on someone who will help me win the game, not someone who's going to help me to not lose the game.
