Can he prevent wound from loosing Combat struggle or just from some Event or Character effect ?
He can not prevent wounds from C-struggles. (This is a game effect.)
He can only prevent wounds from card effects. Events, Support cards, and Characters. (Everything with bold text - Action, Response, Disrupt, Forced Response.)
Seems like this guy could be as good and maybe even better than August Lindquist in the right deck.
This guy can be an ass to play against if you are relying on dealing direct damage.
Fortunately it's limited to opponent effects, so you don't have as many tricks to worry about as with lindquist. The card combos especially well with Supernatural Investigator.
