I haven't really used him, but he seems like he wants a deck with more than the usual number of Events or reusable "pay 1" effects to leverage his response.  Card draw would also be desirable.

I can't think of any specifics but he seems like a great counter to any card that your opponent may want to play on your turn.  To kill or bounce a character before the story phase.  In this case you could refresh your best domain.  Just thinking out loud.

A deterrent, then, and like dboeren said, you want card draw to have stuff in hand in order to up the threat factor.

Some interesting ideas posted above, did you have the chance to play test it yet?

I've played him with King John and Immurement. Both of those cards work well with him. I recently added Bending the Rules to this deck to help refresh domains when my opponent plays around LeGrasse.
