| Deck Name: | Dreams of the Wall |
| Deck Contents: | Total Cards (61) House (1) House Baratheon (Core) x1 Agenda (1) House of Dreams (ARotD) x1 Plot (7) A Time for Ravens (ACoS) x1 The Winds of Winter (TWoW) x1 Fleeing to the Wall (Core) x1 Retaliation! (ASoSilence) x1 Loyalty Money Can Buy (QoD) x1 Take Them by Surprise (LoW) x1 Valar Morghulis (Core) x1 Character (26) Knight of Flowers (SaS) x1 Arena Knight (RoW) x3 Renly Baratheon (KotStorm) x2 Stannis Baratheon (Core) x1 Ser Eldon Estermont (MotM) x1 Samwell Tarly (TRS) x2 Carrion Bird (ASoS) x3 Highgarden Refugee (RoW) x3 The Red Queen's Faithful (CD) x1 Watcher of the Nightfire (AHM) x3 Salladhor's Crew (ASitD) x3 Brienne of Tarth (PotS) x1 Melisandre (RoR) x1 Willas Tyrell (VM) x1 Location (16) The Wall (TWoW) x1 King's Pavillion (KotStorm) x2 Street of Silk (LotR) x1 Street of Sisters (Core) x1 Street of Steel (Core) x1 Aegon's Garden (Core) x3 King Robert's Chambers (Core) x1 Seat of Power (WotN) x3 Narrow Sea (Core) x3 Attachment (2) White Raven (TWoW) x2 Event (17) Terminal Schemes (LotR) x2 Seductive Promise (Core) x2 The Sword in the Darkness (ASitD) x3 Winter Reserves (SA) x3 Narrow Escape (KotStorm) x2 Paper Shield (QoD) x3 Condemned by the Council (AToT) x2 Pretty basic The Wall deck. Has solid draw in 2x Samwell Tarly (6 ravens); 3x watcher of the nightfire; 3x the sword in the darkness. Location hate in fleeing to the wall and condemned by the council. Direct kill in Terminal Schemes, Seductive Promises, Melisandre (yeah, not the power rush one, this is an experiment). Winter Reserves provides a powerful and cost efficient tricon. Paper shield helps handle opponent's challenge control. At this point I can hear you saying You have too many events, your setups are going to suck. but my reply to that is that I'm running House of Dreams out of Baratheon, my setups are going to suck no matter what I do. Who knows, maybe the winter reserves come out of the deck. I'm not sure right now. I mean after all it seems to have a solid defense with so many non-kneeling defenders. (Maybe power grab mel should go back in so I can just win off of 8 turns of dom. lol) |

As most of your characters lack an icon, but varies depending on the character, what about a single copy of Old Bear's Crow (TGM)? As Intrigue is missing on several characters, making them unbypassable by stealth could help prevent several challenges.
Also, what about Aemon? Being able to save your characters could be handy, and novel that it wouldn't just be himself who could be saved.
As you won't be overflowing with gold, especially by making it winter, I do wonder if there will be times you won't be able to pay for Winter Reserves?
Whilst he would be pricey, I just discovered Salladhor Saan (EB). I imagine you would have the most standing characters most of the time, so he would give you some great acceleration.
I do agree with your idea of changing to the power grab Mel, as would suit the deck more in my mind.
Random idea - Court Advisor (PotS)? Giving someone like Knight of Flowers Intrigue could turn him into a beast, but also means you can spread the challenges of your key characters more, and defend more challenges. Drawing to replace itself makes it self-replacing too, and helps with the draw you are wanting.
I'm wanting to stay away from power grab Mel (and that's why power grab Rob isn't in the deck). Basically I'm wanting to do something other than just power grab.
I don't believe paying for Winter Reserves will prove to be a problem. They're only 1 gold, and they're one of the best characters in the deck.
I'd thought about Aemon, but he's not helping me win challenges, and hopefully with not kneeling to defend I'm not loosing military challenges at all. Still, he's on the short list.
Color me impressed with Salaador Saan, if I build the deck on tradecards to play I'll probably include a copy of him. (I don't have him IRL.)
Another random idea, so you can balance out aggression with defence - First Ranger (TBC). If it was on Knight of Flowers, he and all your other characters could go in, you win, all your other Night's Watch characters stand, whilst KoF never knelt in the first place.
The one thing that would bother me about Winter Reserves is that they won't benefit from The Wall, so they will have to kneel to defend.
Would The Shadow Tower (TWH) be worth it for you? A flexible +2 Str buff, that works on any challenge and defending or attacking, so long as they are Night's Watch, could help push through challenges, or make cards such as Terminal Schemes more likely to happen.
I've thought of first ranger before, my actual IRL version of the deck included it, I don't know why I didn't think about it on here.
I don't think The Shadow Tower would really be worth it, I mean a floating +2 strength is nice but this deck shouldn't need it on the defense ever and if they can't break through my defense I have nothing to worry about.
