So after struggling to find a deck that would feel right for FBF, I decided to take Wamma's Bannermen at the Hollow Hill and update it with a few cards, that came out recently. And so I present to you the end result, that made it to TOP8. Some of the changes I made are part of aforementioned updating, some are a matter of personal preference and others I had to make, because I didn't have the complete card pool at my disposal (most notably - no Bleeds). Also note, that cards from Banner's Gather were not legal for this tournament, hence no Storm the Gate (which would be way better than Bleeds btw). nIn short: the deck went 4-2 in swiss - lost to PBtT and Quentyn. Lannister nuked my 2 influence locations early on and that + pretty fast power grab won him the game. Quentyn was a pretty tough match-up anyway, and I made only one, but really terrible mistake (more of a brainfart then misplay), that cost my the game. In top 16 my armies steamrolled over HoD Dragonpit deck and in top 8 lost to yet another Q deck - this time without as much as a fighting chance. I was going to write a full tournament report, but had no time since FBF. If anyone is interested in reading it, hit me up in comments, and I will probably post it next week  |
