The idea is to try to get initiative as often as you can so that you can select another player to go first, preferably setting it up so you go last in the challenge phase. Since all your armies will have all three challenge types (thanks to the Stewards Agenda) you can stonewall your opponents attempts to challenge you since The Wall will make it so you don't kneel to defend, and the King's Pavilion will almost assure that your forces can take whatever come their way. Then when it comes time for you to go, you can smash your opponents with your forces as if you had gotten to go first. Most of the location cards give added income in order to support the high playing cost for many of the armies you will draw and you will notice almost none of them give influence since none of the cards in the deck need influence to be used. If things get rough, you can always use the plot card, Wildfire Assault, to demolish the field. It will hurt you less, usually, since your individual character cards should be much stronger than your opponents, especially boosted by the King's Pavilion. All in all this deck should be a very formidable yet straight forward melee deck that excels and both defense and offence and will leave your opponents very frustrated. |

I've made a Tully Guard based on the concept of defense, but I manage to claim Power through Winterfell and Riverrun.
How do you deal against Rush decks (Bara Knights, Stark Siege) and Control/Kneel?
Honestly I jumped the gun when I published this deck as I spent all last night tweaking it a bit more so it runs a bit smoother with more card draw and resource support. As for dealing with Rush decks, hopefully by turn 2 I will have the Wall and the White Raven in play, along with one of my armies. If need be, by turn three and I use the Wildfire Assault plot card to smash up any built up armies my opponents have made because it will normally be turn three when I start drawing and dropping down the big characters. If I have a fortunate draw with either the Wall or the White Raven in hand in the first turn, I could even Wildfire Assault in round two.
I have yet to assemble this deck and play it. I have actually only played the game once with a group of friends that just got into it, but I have gone through this site and read up on everything and I have played my share of card games in the past that I feel I have a decent grasp of the core concepts. I wanted to keep this deck simple yet solid, and I think I managed that well.
Also, question: Is there a way for me to ask one of the mods/admins to allow me to edit this deck with the updated file in my queue without having to spam the board with a "Man the Wall v2" deck?
