It satisfies the Shagga & Nedly player very well. The current build is for joust, but can make small changes to adjust for melee, & yes Bolton's can work in melee. The Bolton low cost armies & characters populate your board well, & add to your draw through, The Dreadfort. Your Tullys also provide great defense & draw (House Tully Recruiter). Bran the Builder's Legacy can get Riverrun, Frozen Outpost, or The Dreadfort when you need them. I have never gone past round 5 with this deck in a joust without it winning, & most times it wins round 3. Just about every time the opponent has had less than 2 power too. MVPs at this point are Maester Luwin's triggered effect & Riders of the Red Fork, Guard of Riverrun, & Nightmares. This could be modified for some melee with the addition of a few cards, but I would add 1 Walder Frey to complete The Red Wedding archetype. Yea I know Edmure is not in here. He doesn't fit in the 3 cost slot better than RotRF. One question for input is whether to add, No Quarter x3 or the Retalation plot as my restricted card over, Bolton Refugee x3. I see value in each of them. The Refugees firms up the weak INT spots (12 total INTs without 3 BRs). Retaliation makes someone come at me, a Tully strength, & then I can add 3 more low cost Tullys. No Quarter x3 is what it is & Luwin can take it to hand after he wins. Your thoughts are well appreciated. |
