The purpose of this deck is to run Brotherhood from a position of strength; using the cancels and saves inherent in Greyjoy to boost it. The challenge is balancing the Brotherhood and the Greyjoy; reducers and saves and cancels will require you to be vigilant with keywords. Open with At the Gates; to bring out Maester Murenmure to prep for chains and cancel Ygritte/Coldhands shenanigans. An early Valar with strong saves allows you to power strongly through planned resets early on... with Anguy the Archer racking up power. Maester Wendamyr/Aemon/Thoros and Trait manipulation, and the Iron Cliffs/Mines provides saves. When you have the cards to press advantage, drop either Anguy the archer or Beric Dondarrion with Taste for Blood Cancels take the form of Alannys/To Be a Kraken and Blank with Lady of the Leaves. Newly Made Lord and Storming the Shore allow you to cherry pick locations for some harvest and plunder. |
