Flood the board with cheap non-uniques using 5 gold plots, only kill characters you want to. I'm open to suggestions on this deck. It definitely lacks consistent card draw. |

carrion birds also help to get rid of black raven.
Problem I've found with mill before is that, though a cool effect, it still struggles to win games. Euron and Corpse Lake make mill a legitimate strategy for winning in both Joust and Melee (at least as far as I've found),
RemkoLooten, summer hasn't been that prevelant of a deck theme that's why I didn't previously consider running Carrion Bird before. With the release of the new agenda Song of Fire however, I think it may be worth it to include a couple. Thanks for the suggestion!
Manning the City Walls (CD). The former requires you to play from your hand, while the latter allows you to put into play. These kinds of semantics are really stupid and are a real problem with this game.
Interesting, is that an issue that's come up during tournament play or in the FAQ? It seems that, with "Manning..", the only way to play a card is really "from your hand", so that the issue would be moot. Though "Manning" doesn't strictly say "play from your hand", the fact that you DO play Raiding Fleet from your hand as a result of the plot card would thusly trigger Raiding Fleet's effects.
I also forgot to mention that, for a truly nasty "mill" deck, put (3) "Motley Crewman" in there. If you have two or three of them in game, it can be very easy to mill an opponent's entire deck by the fourth of fifth plot if everything is working synchronously. Just think about the fact that if you have two motley crewman's, and play Raiding Fleet, you've immediatley discarded a sixth of their deck (generally) in one single play.
It's stupid because it sounds like the same thing, but the terms "playing" and "putting into play" mean two different things in the LCG universe. The former means basically paying whatever cost there is for the card and playing it under the usual circumstances, while the latter means putting the card into play through some card effect, like Manning the City Walls (CD). It's dumb because it makes Raiding Fleet (AKitN) almost unplayable. Who's going to pay 8 gold for this when there are tons of cheaper armies that are just as strong with better effects/keywords.
