Step 1: Play lots of locations and cards that let you draw more cards, while using intrigue to discard cards from opponents' hands. Step 2: When you have more cards in hand than your opponents, and are in a worse board position character-wise, Mhorgulate. Step 3: Thanks to Lannister's great gold production and card drawing, you should have a faster, and better recovery than your opponents. Right now I'm just toying with some ideas for casual multiplayer decks, made from three core sets, (Revised) Kings of the Sea, (Revised) Princes of the Sun and (3x Format) Refugees of War. I only started playing recently, but I'm in the supplying decks for everyone category. For the first custom deck I'm making for each house, I'm also limiting the cards available to each house, to the cards from its core deck + King/Queen from KotS + one Multi-faction character from PotS + roughly 1/6 the cards from RoW +/- some cards I felt worth moving between card pools. Plot cards are communal. The Lannister card pool at the time I made this deck was: 3x Lannister core deck -2 Shadowblack Lane (Core) +1 Street of Steel (Core) +1 Formal Petition (PotS) +3 Joffrey Baratheon (KotS) +3 Joffrey Baratheon (PotS) +3 Mountainn Refugee (RoW) +3 Head of a Dwarf (RoW) +3 River Bandit (RoW) I'm only using house card pools to get warmed up, while making these six multiplayer, house focused decks, which makes it easier to decide where to put the cards that multiple houses would want. As I move on to trait, crest, and other synergy focused decks, I'll use the entire card pool, particularly when making decks for joust, when there will be fewer decks to be built, that might want specific cards. |
