I am rather new to the game but I have a question. Why not ditch the Increased Levy (LotR) and add in a pair of Lannisport Weaponsmith (Core)? It will cost two but it might be handy to have the extra gold later on as well as a character capable of military challenges? I know you don't get to play them for free on setup but still just my thought.

I find Weaponsmiths tend to be fodder for Mil claim often. Even no tbeing able to play them on setup is okay with me (Increased Levy) because they are not limited and If I drew multiples in hand I could drop them all for zero cost. Mil is definately a weak point in the deck but I have several ways to manuver around Mil claim if the need arises. 1 gpfor 1 Icon and 1 str and +1 g just doesnt do it for me. If he had stealth then that would be a totally different discussion.

That makes sense. I want to build a deck similar to this one and I find, like you, that these small creatures are often sacrificed for military challenges. However I try to keep a pair of Ser Jaime Lannister (Core) and Bronn (LotR) in the deck to discourage attacks. What do you suggest to keep military challenges from overtaking your deck? Just the event cards?
