In the first part of the game, you attack in intrigue inmediatly, to discard rival's hand, evidently that if you can attack in other challenges you do it, but the main thing it is do not let play cards (to this Bron's Hireling is perfect). Those characters that he/she could play are kneeled by Brothel Guard, Cersei assistant, Lannisport brothel, etc. On the other hand, for locations played that may be dangerous we have Vat of Wildfire. Meanwhile, we are playing a lot of cards that gave us gold to finance all explained before. In the middle of the game, we use the gold is for dominance and use habilities of characters like Ser Adam Marbrand, Ser Armory's Poachers or Tyrion's Host. Those characters allow us to defend us (and attack of course) of (against) rival's attack. If we lose a challenge we can use Double Bluff or A Lannister Pays His Debts. To finish the game we use Tywin's and Ser Armory's Poachers Renown, besides Tywin's hability (we must to keep safe gold of Coin Mint, to the right time) and all bitchy power of Cersei who allows us win power by intrigue as only she knows to do. Is there a reason you haven't gone for Lannisport Tourney Grounds (ODG)? As you are focusing on Intrigue due to PBtT, I would have expected it there.
