why To the Spears? To me that plot just seems so pointless. You won't be attacking first with 0 initiative, so it's there only to try and win dominance. Has to be a better way to get an extra power? Even Winter is coming is better than that.

it's because with vengeful, ellaria and blood of the viper you get to defend albeit lose; claim power for ellaria; claim more power with blood of the viper...vengeful stands the characters you used to defend and to the spears allows for multiple attacks with the red viper (tri-icon), arianne (claim raiser), and sarella (stealth)

claim more power with blood of the viper...

I believe you mean the Taste of Blood attachment that gives that character a power after every lost challenge as the defender.

vengeful stands the characters you used to defend

Vengeful actually stands ANY character with the Vengeful keyword after a lost challenge as the defender, whether they were participating or not. Similar to Vigilant from Bara, that get to stand any Vigilant characters after a successful attack.

Yes exactly, sorry for the bad explanation :/ .
A lot of characters are kinda pricy.
you are not running an agenda...Quintin Martell would be perfect for this deck as when he dies he plays straight to the theme of the deck

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm inexperienced at this game: why no reset (like VM)? The guys I play with say always have a reset.

Because of the use of Counting Favors and Summing Season I assume this is actually a melee deck, and I've seen a lot of melee decks not include a reset - though if they did add the Quentyn like was suggested, then Wildfire would be a very good addition.

For Joust - always have a reset ^_^

Good points! Thanks! Also since there are 2 restricted joust cards in this deck how would you adjust it for joust (i.e. take out The Viper's Bannermen or the Orphan)?
2nd would this benefit from one of the new seasons agendas?
