I threw in Rumors of War to help with Cape Wrath, or to play on an opponent's character to help trigger The Viper's Wrath. I didn't run bleeds or Plans b/c I didn't have room for any influence.
How important is Winter Festival? In the challenge phase have you wished for To The Spears or Desolate Passage (TRS) instead? If it is for grabbing power, Into the Lists (TftH) grabs more power and is a nice combo with Rumors of War. If you need more ways to thin your own characters,The Red Wedding (PotS) provides another consistent 2 power grab (with the possibility to kill a major enemy character).
While I love Lost Oasis, do you need 3? Obella Sand (DB) could give you a lot more milage from your sand snakes or The Bastard of Godsgrace (EB) makes choosing defenders very hard for your opponent.
Again, I really enjoyed this deck. The shadows and Cape Wrath were a great idea that I never would have come up with by myself. Thanks for sharing!
To the Spears is a definite option I have considered many times, and I think I'll probably slot it, that or Power of Blood to protect the Viper (and Arianne) on Valar turns (since he can't be saved by the Maester of the Sun). Desolate Passage cramps up The Viper's Rage more often then not. I was thinking of putting in 1x Poisoned Spear to get rid of troublesome characters, which would put me at 61 cards. Into the lists is certainly an option to close out a game, as is The Red Wedding, both of which I've given a lot of thought to.
Lost Oasis x3 is pretty invaluable due to location hate and it's synergy with the Red Viper, Harmen Uller, and Choosing the Spear. Obella only effects 4 other characters in the deck, plus she's one more character on the board. The Bastard is cool (really cool), but he's another character that takes up a slot that a more powerful one could be using. You usually want to have between 2-4 characters on the board at the end of the challenges phase.
I played the V3 version at a mini-tournament at a local shop yesterday (just 4 rounds of Swiss) and it went 3 wins and one modified loss (my 8 to his 11 power, game called for time) to John Bruno, who is a really cool guy
