Any issue in having enough influence to get Grief to work?
Have you considered trying to replace The Red Viper (PotS) with The Red Viper (TftRK)? Seems like a better fit for No Use For Grief (DB).
So I played this deck on Saturday, and it played really well. I didn't win but only because I played The Red Viper wrong, the Baratheon player had Melisandre (Core) in play and I forgot to ignore her "power on opponents characters.." effect, so I wasn't counting Red Vipers power.

I did have issues with getting enough influence into play, so I didn't get a chance to play Grief when two Valar Morghulis (Core) got dropped at once and wiped the table (including dupes). Otherwise, it played quite well and quickly became the hated deck in the game and halfway through the game the guys pretty much gave up on messing with me. I gotta say, Orphan of the Greenblood (PotS), pretty freakin awesome!

I tightened up my deck a bit after playing the game, Ill post the changes here in a few.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to edit my saved deck and post the changes to this thread or will it create a new thread?

edit: The deck that won was a Core x2 Lanni deck. Baratheon was doing really well for awhile (core x2) once the player picked up on the strategy, but I pretty much shut that player down. This deck is definitely good at controlling the flow of the game!
Melisandre from Core is so easy to remove form play....just play Fury of the sun plot while you have more charakter with intrigue icons(it's better if you have some stealth on them like Poisoned Knife or increase-claim value lady or Lost oasis)....or eventually play some plot with 2 claim value, kill some charakters with str.2 or lower by 'shadow blade' and with lost oasis you can kill her...but the best way to win is play the Nightmares event card(the event to blank charakter or location ever)and blank melisandre---this tactics I used many times...

For Valar Morghulis you can play Narrow Escape...or Maester of the sun if you play summer
Gave this deck a go in Joust - good theory but there's a serious lack of influence in it. There's only seven total influence in the entire deck but nine of the event cards require influence. Considerning Vengance needs two and Grief needs three for the awesome effect there's a good chance you end up with a few unplayable cards stuck in your hand.
I'm intrigued by this deck concept and going to give it a try(actually need to buy DB first). I have a couple questions though. When you drop No Use For Grief, can you put into play any Sand Snakes that are already in your hand, or must they be played from your deck only? Also, if we're going to try to drop a Valar in the first few rounds, are we purposely avoiding playing any Sand Snakes in your hand until then? I'd hate to have too many dead cards.

Any ideas on how to add more influence without cutting any important pieces? What about squeezing Starfall Merchant (RoR) in there? You can also try adding The Red Keep (TftRK) or running with Knights of the Hollow Hill (MotM).

No, they must come from your deck.

Advisor to the Crown (QoD) might be a good choice, plus you could fish him out first round with At the Gates (GotC)
I played this deck with a few minor changes last night in a couple joust matches. I had a hard time bringing out the Sand Snake army effectively. I'd often have some Sand Snakes in my hand and would purposely avoid playing early which contributed to a very fast start for my opponent.

My first three plots were At The Gates to bring out Advisor, Summoning Season, and Valar.

Question for Darksbane(or anyone that can can answer), If I have Advisor to the Crown (QoD) out as well as The Red Viper (PotS) and play Valar, I cannot kneel Advisor to use his influence after playing No Use For Grief, correct? I'm still a bit fuzzy on the moribund thing.

From what I understand, you should be able to trigger any effects on a card that is effected by Valar while its moribund, before it goes to the dead pile, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use Advisors influence to pay for Grief.

Ya, I made quite a few changes to this deck awhile back and it plays much smoother now. I never updated it here though, and I eventually moved on to focusing my Martell deck on Red Viper only, which worked much better for me. This deck was fun to play though for a bit until my group knew what to expect and they started dropping valar right after the sand snake army came out, and I was pretty much done after that.

You also have the problem of using two restricted cards 'Venomous Blade' and 'Burning on the Sands'
