Deck Name: | neutral brotherhood v2 |

It has a significant amount of location hate and cancels to help fight off Ghaston Grey & Game of Cyvasse. (Coincidentally cancels and location hate are also almost universally amazing.) It is also amazing at drawing and playing weenies. The characters I'm happiest with in the deck are the neutrals (though Thoros could theoretically come out), knight of flowers, Asha, Marya, spearmen, boatswains, and hodor. Much more iffy are Robert, Cavalry flanks (excellent, but I really need more renown), stannis (could easily be the 3 cost, 4 strength Renly) Refugees (just not sure what to use for Targaryen characters, maybe disgruntled mercenaries?). I haven't had a chance to use Khal or Melisandre. (To be fair I haven't had a chance to use Robert either, but I know he's pretty horrible.) However, I do really want some targeted kill in the deck, so they're going to be in on an experimental basis. One card that isn't in here and is really fighting to get in is Newly Made Lord. Pulling out the boatswain for him is very tempting, however he's seriously dangerous if I happen to get my opponent in a bad position on locations (as say just 1 gold producer or something) and I flop him off Val. I would like the deck to have more renown. And support of the kingdom is pretty iffy, the more events I run the weaker my draw scheme and they're probably the weakest event (they don't help against Ghaston Grey), however they're the only surefire way of getting rid of the red keep. (Should it be nightmares?) Milk of the poppy is just in there because I had an open slot and no idea what to put and it is such a powerful card that, in my meta, never gets played. As to plots I'm not sure if Valar or Wildfire is a better call, this deck runs so many singletons of so many good uniques wildfire just seems great (and I can not choose Beric and get a 4 character to 3 character lead) but Valar is just so powerful. As to the 2 seasons, fleeing to the wall, I am very happy with them. Fortified position is only in there to deal with core melisandre and could easily come out, especially if the milk of the poppy stays in (or nightmares goes in). The other plots could really be anything. I have a funny feeling the next chapter pack cycle is really going to throw this deck a curve, however I only see it getting better. (Why yes, yes I will play with the best naval icons in the game, thank you very much.) |
