A pretty good deck the only thing i dont get is the two killer of the wounded . ;/ pls can you explain the use of the card?

I'll explain it to you. Kotw gets the direwolf trait in challenges and by kneelin n times reduces the strenght of all your attacking characters to 0 . This is one of the reasons why I will play targaryen burn in every major tournament until everyone stop playing maesters, and I encourage you to do the same.
msommi is correct. With the kotw getting direwolf as a trait from Cooper link you can shut down ever challenge against you once you have shaggy dog in play. :)
Very nice. I love direwolf decks. Way to represent haha Kotw for the win

"This is one of the reasons why I will play targaryen burn in every major tournament until everyone stop playing maesters, and I encourage you to do the same."

How come? Why Targaryen burn?

PS: The Deck above looks pretty scary! Like it!
Targrayen burn is great vs maesters since it normaly has lots of attachment removal. Inadditon, the Targ player can burn out the maesters to prevent the chains from getting off the agenda.

Honestly, a good GJ maester's w/ maybe 4-6 chains tops, and a little choke in it...tough to beat. We'll see what the top 10 players at worlds are playing...I say targ / maesters are the top decks.

In your write up you mention "Rickon pairs well with other draw mechanics in the deck such as Samwell Tarly, Guard at Riverrun, The Blackfish and Valyrian Steel Link..." I wouldn't think he works with any of the cards you listed since they are all "draw" mechanics and not "search" mechanics like Maester Luwin (FtC) or your plots would be.

Other than that it does look like a pretty useful deck and as you pointed out it would definately require some attention to detail, preplanning and understanding of your deck.
What i was trying to say was that the added cards from Rickon due to coping things like To Be a Wolf, Wolf Dreams and Plots combined with the other draw lets you see lots of cards. i.e. Rickon should be counted as a draw source...Not that Ricken can be used with those cards. ;)

On a side not he also can't be used with Maester Luwin. Since Luwin search the top five cards and not your deck which is a requirement for Rickon to work.
Used to hate this deck, but lately have had a lot better luck against it. Toolbox decks are hard to anticipate and if your like me and love rush or aggro decks it is really easy to walk into it and miss the saves popping up. Our matchups with Dirty Girl and my clansman deck are mindnumbing hour long battles that by the end your almost thankful for a loss. Main thing with this deck as I would say with any is to figure out what the combo is he is going for before he does it or at least be ready for it when it comes. Many a long hour played Noj

;) Yburi so glade to see more of the meta on the boards these days....
haha all two of us ;P. I am seriously thinking of my targ deck for Rochester but I want to play test it more before we go. I took the maesters out of my clan deck and spent all week on it and the targ deck tweaking. They both feel really strong now but we should play one more night before we go down. Will your boss allow it?
is it just me or could KOTW get an Apprentice Collar and Lead Link and just repeatedly kneel/stand/kneel until every opponents' board is totally zeroed out? Granted it's not a kill-condition, but you could then proceed to roflstomp them in challenges.

Isn't lead link once per phase? But a write up has been done about abusing killer of the wounded with a direwolf trait, lyanna stark and shaggy wolf. Sorry I didn't link any cards. The button doesn't work on my tablet.
Yes you could do that with KoTW. You would need some way to get those chains off your agenda and into your hand so you could play them but it works.

Also since lead link is once a phase you could only do one char a phase. However, add in Threat from the North and you can discard seven chars...which should be enough to clear your oppents board.

How do you get seven?

7 phases (assuming it's on a Killer of the Wounded to restand them): plot, draw, marshalling, challenges, dominance, stand, taxation.
I felt compelled to like this deck (since I was the inspiration - Jon added all the good bits himself, though). Awesome job, Jon! Glad she turned out okay in the end!

Gotcha, very mean indeed.
Yes the idea was from MR. Longclaw as he played a similar deck vs me a long time ago. I just could not get it out of my head and a month later i build a very similar version to his deck then started tweaking it. Thanks for the inspiration ;)
what would you suggest to tweak this beauty with the new 3.3 faq?
the new

Bran Stark (VD)??
The Songs of Bael the Bard (AKitN)instead of
Fury of the Wolf (AE) which becomes the second restricted card in the deck?
i was thinking also of
The Isle of Ravens (TIoR) to get back some necessary links and give to
Killer of the Wounded (QoD) the
Lead Link (CbtC).
I think with the change to Killer i would go back to a heaver wolf build if i was to bust this off. But, honestly i don't think its as competitive as it once was.
