The idea is to use the Stark's defensive capabilities (does not kneel to defend) in order to allow your enemy to make the first move, have them fail against your defenses and then crush them.

I did well with a half-assed version of this deck in a joust game. I'm not sure how well it would hold up in melee because i haven't had the chance to play such a game.

Bringers of the Law seems like an awesome card, although I don't see it in many decklists. I suppose there aren't many people playing a deck as defensive as this one.

One problem with playing defensive is that once your opponent gets wise to the decks' strength on defense, they start allowing you to go first. Normally I can deal with this no problem as my guys are strong enough push through select challenges or simply pass and put the onus back on my opponent. Kings of Winter would generally mean that I can maintain card advantage during a stare down like that.

This is the first deck I've made with a seasons mechanic. Not sure how I feel about it as this was made with the deck builder and I don't have the cards to test it.

Let me know what you think about this sort of defensive strategy. What weaknesses do you see? Is this viable at all?

I would change a few different things to make the deck run smoother. There are a few problems/low chances for some of the tricks to work. First one I noticed is Host of the Bear and your plots. With 4 plots that have initiative 2 or less, Host of the Bear will leave you before you get to take full advantage of them. If you feel like you need the STR, then try out the The Bastard's Elite (RoR) or The Flayed Men (DB). If you would rather have control or recursion then I suggest Deepwood Mercenary (LoW) or Winterfell Reserves (Core), respectfully. As for Peasant Defenders, I like them but I feel like you always need at least 6 Weapon attachments to help guarantee that you can have a copy of each in hand. I also noticed that you are missing one of the key Stark defenders/draw engines, the Guard at Riverrun (LoW). As for possible other character choices, Brienne of Tarth (PotS) is amazing with stopping any of your opponent's tricks and Cat o' the Canals (RoW) is immune to about 99% of the things your opponent can do to you (she is not immune to claim replacement). If you need more power grab then I would switch to jumping Catelyn Stark and add in Bran Stark (LoW). I would get rid of United Cause (since it is a dead card in joust) and add a 3rd copy of Routing the Charge and Lethal Counterattack.

I've seen a few Kingsguard decks that do very well from a defensive set-up. Maybe attempting to incorporate some of those cards might help. The Kingsguard Agenda, The White Book (TftRK) might even be of some utility in this deck.
