Deck Name: | 1st Targaryen Deck |
Deck Contents: | Total Cards (60) House (1) House Targaryen (Core) x1 Agenda (0) Plot (7) Planning Ahead (Core) x1 Building Season (Core) x1 Counting Favors (Core) x1 Mad King's Legacy (Core) x1 Summoning Season (Core) x1 Threat from the North (PotS) x1 Herding the Masses (Core) x1 Character (26) Viserys Targaryen (Core) x2 Viserys Targaryen (KotS) x1 Bandit of Summer (RoW) x3 Ser Jorah Mormont (PotS) x1 Dany's Handmaiden (Core) x3 Qartheen Fanatic (Core) x3 Daario Naharis (Core) x1 Daenerys Targaryen (Core) x1 Pentoshi Guildmaster (Core) x3 The Titan's Bastard (Core) x1 Xaro Xoan Daxos (Core) x1 Magister Illyrio (Core) x1 Drogon (Core) x1 Rhaegal (Core) x3 Viserion (Core) x1 Location (15) Street of Sisters (Core) x1 Summer Sea (Core) x2 Temple of the Graces (Core) x1 Xaro's Home (Core) x3 Eastern Fiefdoms (Core) x3 Khal Drogo's Tent (Core) x1 Crossroads (Core) x3 Lady Daenerys's Chambers (Core) x1 Attachment (16) Bodyguard (Core) x3 Aegon's Blade (Core) x3 Bones of a Child (Core) x3 Flame-Kissed (Core) x3 Poisoned Wine (Core) x3 Blood of the Dragon (Core) x1 Event (3) Dance With Dragons (Core) x3 This deck wants to reuse its attachments infinitely with the help of Lady Daenerys's Chambers and draw more cards for playing them, with Xaro's Home. Combining core Viserys with cheap attachments and the chambers makes it even easier to reuse attachments, if your opponents insist on killing him repeatedly. King Viserys can be a surprise finisher, if you can play him with a bunch of attachments, after taking out any enemy kings with burn effects and/or Threat from the North. The other characters in the deck were chosen, so that there'd be a good amount of characters, of each icon type, and the tricon characters work great with Aegon's Blade, as well. Right now I'm just toying with some ideas for casual multiplayer decks, made from three core sets, (Revised) Kings of the Sea, (Revised) Princes of the Sun and (3x Format) Refugees of War. I only started playing recently, but I'm in the supplying decks for everyone category. For the first custom deck I'm making for each house, I'm also limiting the cards available to each house, to the cards from its core deck + King/Queen from KotS + one Multi-faction character from PotS + roughly 1/6 the cards from RoW +/- some cards I felt worth moving between card pools. Plot cards are communal. The Targaryen card pool at the time I made this deck was: 3x Targaryen core deck -3 Crossroads (Core) +1 Shadowblack Lane +1 Street of Sisters +1 Street of Steel +3 Viserys Targaryen (KotS) +3 Ser Jorah Mormont (PotS) +3 Refugee of the Plains (RoW) +3 Dragonstone Scavenger (RoW) +3 Bandit of Summer (RoW) I'm only using house card pools to get warmed up, while making these six multiplayer, house focused decks, which makes it easier to decide where to put the cards that multiple houses would want. As I move on to trait, crest, and other synergy focused decks, I'll use the entire card pool, particularly when making decks for joust, when there will be fewer decks to be built, that might want specific cards. |
